To an extent, I agree with him. I just don't agree that the two ideas are mutually exclusive - there ARE talented free agents out there, with a premium price tag, who remain self motivated and team oriented people. We just have to find out who they are. But for the price of one Vincent Jackson (for example), we could probably obtain 4, 5 or 6 solid citizens who contribute more to the overall performance of the team than that one individual.
