I don't know much about this guy except that he was a top DT recruit who got kicked off the South Carolina football team for disciplinary reasons in 2008 and then transfered to Hampton. According to NFLdraftscout.com he is projected to go in the 3rd round he is listed at 6ft5 340 lbs. What I get from the reviews are that he has great physical gifts but his technique needs some work. He seems like a great Nose tackle prospect to me and he would be a great investment to bolster our D line.

Three issues:

1) 6'5" is a bit tall to be a dominant NT. Most are shorter than that -- 6'2";
2) He's never played NT -- changing positions from college to NFL is not easy; and
3) why do we want a knucklehead? We already had a knucklehead DLineman

It's time to quit taking any "great talent" or any Tom, Dick and Harry and start building our team with a plan. Get guys that fit our scheme and get guys that are quality guys. Let's not take guys hoping they'll work out. Guess I can handle that in the later rounds -- 6th or 7th -- as a flyer, but a 3rd round pick needs to be a guy you know will help you now or a year or so from now.
