I think the Redskins should seriously look into re-signing Plaxico Burress when he comes out of jail. Personally, I never believe he should have been put in jail in the first place, who did he hurt?

Unlike Michael Vick who's crime was violent (and IMO showed pretty clear signs of mental illness and anti-social behavior) Burress just accidentally shot himself in New York which has the most restrictive guns laws in the country. The man is a 6-5 wideout who has had nothing to do for two years except excersize. We could badly use WR depth and Shanahan has shown willingness in the past to give second chances to troubled players. I think it would be a great move for us.

For his crime, does the end justify the means? That bullet could've missed his leg, maybe bounce and hit someone else. Glad it didn't but it could've, I think that's why he got locked, that and the obvious he didn't have a permit for it and such.

However, that has nothing to do with football and I say we get him. I say we get any dag gone tall WR out there Plus he wasn't a bum on the field so I'm with you bro.

I'd give everyone a look although Sidney Rice is available and he might be my first pick.

We have the law in New York. You carry a concealed weapon, you go to jail. Even worse, Paxico carried the pistol into a bar, a place where people go to drink alcoholic beverages.

The law said Plaxico owed jail time. No evasions just because he's a sports hero.

As CT said, he is too dumb -- or mentally unbalanced -- to play pro football.

Hell no. I could cite off the field reasons, but there are plenty of on field reasons not to sign him.

Can he come cheap? Yes? Get him.
