For the record, reporters asked Lloyd, upon his selection to the Pro Bowl if he wanted to tell any of his former teams "I told you so."? Lloyd responded "No, I want to say ---- you, and I mean that in the most professional way."
What a moron. He doesn't even take one bit of responsibility for his career up to this point. He thinks he's just another guy who's a huge talent and no one has seen it until now. In San Fran he was decent and showed excellent hands but he was traded to Washington for a third and a fourth round draft pick. A major haul. In TWO years with the Skins he didn't catch even one touchdown pass. In two years. No scores. He had attitude problems, he missed team meetings, he showed poor work ethic and he was finally released. This from a coach who dealt with John Riggins sleeping through team meetings and other things
He signed a one year contract with the Bears after playing his college ball in Illinois, it was a golden opportunity built on what he did in San Fransisco. He blew it and had a terrible season and was not re-signed.
He went to Denver and FWIW he was absolutely terrible there his first season. Pressed into action due to the departure of Brandon Marshall Lloyd FINALLY showed some of his potential with a Pro-Bowl season.
So I ask you, who's to blame for not uncovering this potential? Joe Gibbs? Dan Snyder? Lovie Smith... or Brandon Lloyd?
