HOGNOSTITRAITOR ALERT !!!

No need to apologise. We always knew you had no back bone. What a coward bend-forward attitude in the SECOND most important week of a Washington Redskins fan.

I have news for you:

No YELLOW HOGNOSTITRAITOR has ever won this competition.

Your faith is sealed as a loser and a YELLOW HOGNOSTITRAITOR !!!

No need to come back next week. You can stay with the Pukes for the rest of the season and beyond !!!

Well it was fun playing with you guys this season, but I'm gonna bow out. Its not because of my precipitous (Redeemed-esque) slide the past couple of weeks , but because I'll be in Italy the next 3 weeks and just won't be able to put in my picks.

Good luck to all....except for anyone who picks the pukes over the skins...I mean C'Mon dude!!!

CH, you can make your picks in advance. If you quit now, you won't qualify for the playoffs. You're in 8th place, now. I'd hate to see someone get in, just because you dropped out.

Okay OKAY! It IS because of the slide. NOW are you guys happy?

Actually, maybe I'll try to do it there. I'll have internet (I'll, in fact, be mostly in Florence), but I'm foreseeing myself being distracted (read drunk) and just forgetting. BUT I'll give it a shot. This week's picks:

Florence is a great city. I love Italian food. I hope you like Italian food because there actually aren't a lot of restaurants that aren't Italian, but if you do you'll be in heaven. Things to be sure to have: gelato, pizza, fresh mozzarella appetizer. Get the house Chianti wherever you go, great wine and it's cheap. The coffee is great. If you're adventurous, try the grappa. I love it but most American's don't.

I actually was working most of the time so I didn't get to see too much of the city, but what I do know. The gold bridge does have great deals if you shop there. Though maybe with tourists prices are increasing. Be sure to go to the Duomo. There is a tower outside the Cathedral which has the best view of Florence. If you like art you'll love Florence. Though I'm ashamed to admit I never saw David. It's a ways from most things and I just didn't have time to get there. But everyone who saw it said it was worth it.

I did take one day trip. Americans always think Pisa. But the locals told me that all that's there is the tower. They all recommended Sienna. Sienna was totally worth it and the drive through Tuscany was very nice too.

If you haven't traveled internationally, the first thing I always do is go to the Concierge and ask what local tipping etiquette is. You don't want to waste money or stiff people and it's different everywhere. I forget as well so even when I've been there if it wasn't recently I go to refresh my memory.

You'll have no problem speaking English and you'll see Americans and American University clothing everywhere.

Good call on that one, but too few too far between.

I'll leave the drums by the window for you to see as you drive by as you requested. Sorry about the dents in the cymbals, the kids were playing Frisbee. The wife is eying the rest to use as potters. I'm thinking of letting her go ahead since it doesn't seem you're going to need them anymore...

I'm in the wine business and really into food, so I'm anticipating a drink and eat fest. We'll have a car and will be taking day trips all throughout Tuscany...the trip to Sienna is already planned and I have a private wine tasting scheduled in San Gimignano at one of the wineries who's wine I sell, which should be cool.

I know what you mean about work getting in the way. I used to travel a lot when I was in the high tech biz, went to the coolest places, but would work 14 hour days...and never had time to see anything.
