The Demolition - Hope You're Hungry

"My sandwich has ham, turkey, bacon, avocado slices, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, mayo, olive oil and vinegar, and it's on a wheat sub roll," Daniels says, and these aren't just ingredients that were foisted onto him by some faceless PR guy at Harris Teeter. "I thought about it, came up with all the ingredients. It's just stuff I like on my sandwiches, stuff I eat. Turned out great, man. They brought a couple of platters over to the facility and everybody was eating it, they were gone."
But it wasn't just a dashed-off list of Stuff That Phillip Daniels Likes put onto a roll. There's BALANCE here. A plan in place. "I tried to put a little bit of bad fat on there with the bacon and healthy fat with the avocado, so hopefully get the best of both worlds right there," Daniels said, sitting at a table in a Virginia Harris Teeter. "I was in and out with the bacon. I was like, 'Should I put bacon or should not?' But then I was like, 'Well, what's a sandwich without bacon?' They can take it off themselves if they don't like it."
Even the sandwich's name, The Demolition, bears Daniels' unmistakable fingerprints. "Demolition was a name that I had back in college, man," Daniels said. "That used to be our intramural basketball team's name -- I came up with it. So I said, 'Well, I'll just name my sandwich the same thing.'"

I thought that what a player in the shape of Phillip Daniels eats might be of some interest to Redskins fans, particularly those who might be heavily into strength training or power lifting. If it doesn't interest anyone here I can live with that.

I don't think it's that people aren't interested . . . I think it's just unlikely that any post about a turkey sandwich with avocados and mayonnaise is going to generate much discussion on a Redskins board.

In hindsight I suppose I should have posted this in The Lounge.
I was hoping maybe some members would talk about their workout diets and such, but that is getting away from Redskins discussion. My fault.

I don't care for avacdo, but other than that, it sounds tasty. A turkey club sub.
