Santana makes me nervous sometimes....

Santana has been pretty darn good this year. But, I sure don't like when he's cupping the ball with one hand. This is a great way for defenders to punch it out or strip the ball.

Has he fumbled yet? I don't remember. I also read somewhere, The Post I think, that this is the last year of his contract. Anyone know for sure?

He's under contract for 3 more years, 2012-2013 are voidable and I doubt he's going to play for the $1.192 million his contract pays him next year. So yeah this is the last year of his contract

Santana Moss has fumbled the ball 14 times in his career and when adding up rushing attempts and catches you get an even 600. That means that Moss has fumbled 2% of the time. Of those times, he's only lost 8 of the 14.
Fumbling is not a problem for Moss.

The lack of cathing balls hitting him in the hands (or facemask THRU the hands) is, otoh.

He'll never top that day that he and Brunell rocked the world. I like Moss too, but the guy has to learn to keep his eye on the ball. It's getting sad how many flat out ugly drops he has.

The fumble in the first quarter against the Rams returned for a touchdown was painful, and led to them jumping all over us early... the drop and subsequent INT against the Vikings I think only resulted in 3, but it was a big 3... That's the second time the commentators mentioned how we have close to the fewest drops in the league and we went out and dropped 5 passes... it's the commentators fault...
for some reason I'm actually more nervous when

ey's running with the ball...

Agreed. But I think he meant how

ey looks when he runs, not that he fumbles. I love when he breaks open, but let's be honest, a pretty runner he isn't...

I'm not saying it's justified with regards to

ey. He's had the ball come out a couple times, but not a lot. He just always seems to attract a crowd and fights for extra yards, and he's not the type to cover the ball up with two hands in those situations...

He's fumbled 10 times in 7 years and lost 3. Non-issue.

I am very confident when

ey has the ball. I cant remember him fumbling. Anyhow he never gets rocked by opposing defenders either. I have never seen him take a shot from defenders. So where would the nervous come from?
Anyhow speaking of TEs why isnt Davis getting more play time? Davis is a weapon and should be used more.
As far as Moss goes. I have always thought he needed another receiver to free up some space for him to operate. Moss has made some bonehead plays as well as some memorable good plays. The Brunell comeback game comes to mind. Also Sean Taylor also had a wicked hit on Crayton in that same game that comes to mind as well.

Well... I excused Moss for not having help but he's had it this year. He's had the most help he's had since being here in AA and he's been freed up by Kyle within the scheme. Moss has failed to make a difference. Tired of seeing him drop and bat balls in the air. They need to stop throwing to him when we're near our own endzone. LOL
