This has been a great season so far, and even though this game was ugly we pulled away with an important win.

Like my golf game. Ugly but in the end, good result.

I'm with you on that IrnBru. All the W's look the same at the end of the season....

The Redskins are already tied with the same wins they had last year, so I think one more will be without a doubt be proof they are better than last year.

DeAngelo Hall made a comment after the game that he thought Jay Cutler was trying to pick on him because he had done so in the past with success. I believe he was referring to the opening game in Oakland that Cutler torched Hall with Eddie Royal's first game as a pro playing pass and catch.

Coaching won/lost this game. Lovie Smith is a horrible head coach and should have challenged the Cutler fumble but he didn't and that play was critical.

I was at the game and I have to say it was exciting at multiple times (Hall interceptions, and big Albert getting the sack and stop on 3 and 1). but it also got my blood pressure up a lot of the times also. Great game I hope we can keep the momentum up.

Hall had four interceptions and seven tackles. Defensive player of the week, for sure, and game ball. McNabb was terrible, as was the pass blocking. According to my off-hand calculation, no lineman on our side was less than poor (in pass blocking) and only the right side of the line opened any holes for Torrain. Bad game for Williams. For the most part, we were incredibly lucky. Thank heavens for Cutler's insistence in picking on Hall.

If you could combine Carlos Rogers and D Hall, you would have one hell of a corner.

You'd Have Champ Bailey in his prime.

It was, indeed, an exceptional performance by Hall, that should quiet some of his detractors, for a while... and, clearly, Cutler's insistence on throwing in his direction was... a bad idea.

Say what you want, my favorite play was Haynesworth using Chris Williams as a whipping stick to take down Cutler... what a display of power that was!

I hate to say it but now I hope the cowgirls beat the giants so we can get back in first place

Mine too.

If it weren't for Hall's four INTs and gamewinning TD, I'd say Haynesworth was our defensive player of the game for that play, and the goal-line stop that would have put the Bears up by 11.

That was my first ever NFL game and although I found it exciting it was brutally ugly. Almost comical at times with all the mistakes on both sides. Whoever called out Lovie above is so right. Awful. Dreadful coach and condescendingly smug and arrogant with it.

Congrats to the Skins though. I was about to say the better team won but really, the less garbage team won.

The NFC is wide open this year. Saints go down again to the Browns. Whoever makes the playoffs has a legitimate chance to make it to the dance.

This from one of our Redskins fans, this past week

Jay Cutler will throw for 400+ yards and a couple of scores against Haslett's defense. The Skins will lose by a late field goal because Haslett won't be able to stop them from marching down the field.

I refuse to call the defense the Redskins' defense because IF ANYONE was the DC besides Haslett, they would be better. So until he is fired or switches back to a D scheme that works with the personel he has, it's HIS rotten defense.

now I understand that things are not great with our defense but give me a break - this is our team

a good fan always thinks their team has a chance

there are a number of fans here that cannot call themselves "supporters" or REAL fans when you post garbage like this

I'm not so sure challenging that fumble would have overturned the play. All the views I saw were pretty inconclusive. That would've blown both challenges and two time-outs in as many plays.

When you could see Cutler, you couldn't see the goal line because of the pile, and when you could see the goal line, you couldn't see Cutler because of Haynesworth. I'd say the Refs came back either confirmed or inconclusive.

the ball was VERY close to being on or over the line - good thing it was not challenged because it could have been ruled a TD as well

the Comcast Post Game staff was saying that Cutler did cross the end zone..........BUT we smartly snapped the ball before it could be challenged.

We'll take the W.

I think you about summed it up there. I'd just like to add that Haynesworth was a beast today. I can't say one bad thing about his game. The play where he pushed the O-lineman right back into Cutler was absolutely amazing. That is how dominating he can be. And the goal line stop was incredible. I would like to know what Cutler thought when he saw that big guy leap at him like that.
