When the season started I warned you guys that it isn't always pretty with Donovan. He had an off day and we still won the game. Next week he may light it up for 300 yds. Get ready for the ride and some more W's.

Off day? This is the reason that he was let go in Philly. His "Off Day" turned into his "Expected Game".

I know it must have been painful when McNabb ran over your dog, but man you've gotta learn to let it go.

Yep, his "expected day;" yet another NFC East victory.

All because of Good Ole' #5. We're going to ride a lot of victories completing 1 second half pass.
The guy sucks...say it with me.
He...
is....
Terrible.

Donovan's stats last year weren't too bad. I'm sure he'll get better with a little practice.

Had a shaky second half due to nerves and emotions I think. His D and rb did enough to hold on he owes the team.

Whatever. I think this team has a lot of potential. It also appears that Shanahan is the right guy to put the pieces together. I think that as their confidence builds, so will their precision. I don't think that they play soft. Maybe the pass defense is a bit soft, but the player's aren't.

Yet... somehow he has 2 (count em, TWO) NFC East wins... which means, HE is in first place... I'll take THIS terrible. even knowing that he will throw it into the dirt from time to time...

What was last week's excuse? The vaunted St. Louis Rams pass rushing defense?
Everybody's always making excuses for him. In Philly, he never had elite WR talent. He finally gets elite talent and the Eagles realize that he's the guy holding them back and they ship him off.
Realize the guy has serious limitations.
He throws a very nice seam pass and 4 yd hitch. Besides that, he can make NO other throw on the field. His 15 yd outs (the throw that Pro QBs are judged on) is possibly the worst in the league. His bombs have low accuracy.

You're forgetting one thing: Jason Campbell started 2-1 with wins IN Dallas and IN Philly. I'll let you think about how that one ended.

YOU're forgetting... McNabb has a 10 + year history as a winner, most with no receivers. Campbell? That's what I thought.

I would think about it, but since it has no relevance whatsoever to what we're talking about, I'm not sure what good it will do . . .

In fairness, had a former Redskins veteran QB (The Ocho), had a similar performance, many of those who are defending McNabb today would have wanted him benched.
Yes, Like WD, I, too, still can't let it go.

Lets see what we would be like this year with Campbell...
Week 1: Loss. Hall's TD is probably the only points we score.
Week 2: Loss. Yeah, I know we lost it anyway, but without McNabb we get crushed.
Week 3: Loss. We looked bad with McNabb, just imagine how bad it would've been with Campbell taking sack after sack with Heyer protecting his blind side. Campbell could've never made that throw to Moss.
Week 4: Loss. McNabb did make some key throws and runs. The run to keep the drive alive at the end never happens even though he made a bad decision running out of bounds. Campbell would've missed Armstrong deep, probably never made that throw to

ey for a TD, and would've been sacked countless times.
As bad as we have looked at times this year, we would be 0-4 with Campbell. We are 2-2 and tied for the lead in the NFC East. I'll take it. How crazy is an argument saying that this team would be better off with Jason Campbell at QB?

Any comparison between McNabb and Campbell is absurd. Campbell couldn't even hold onto the starting job for the Raiders, and simple isn't cut out to be a starter in the NFL.
With that said, the jury is certainly still out on McNabb as the Redskins qb. Outside of the first half against the Texans he and the rest of the offense have been pretty terrible. It's a new scheme and new players, with many holes still remaining, so we can't expect too much out of the offense this year. And clearly McNabb has his faults...nerves and accuracy being the two primary ones. But he is certainly an upgrade over JC and hopefully will hold down the fort until we (hopefully) find a longterm "franchise" qb.

Perhaps... but, also in fairness, Mark Brunell, by the time he made it to our team, had clearly lost his ability to throw the ball more than 15 yards in the air, and was clearly waining in his physical abilities... it's time to get past it.

Why is a well earned and hard fought VICTORY being questioned???
None of us is chanting SUPERBOWL

.... yet.
We just won against against a hated division rival and their most ignorant and stupid fans in the NFL. What is not to celebrate ??
OUR QB showing the Eagles WRONG??? Love it !!!
This is a work-in-progress and some intelligent poster here truly predicted a wi today because not withstanding the embarrassment in St Louis, he knew that we are in good hands making progress one step at a time. We must be cautiously optimistic. There is ample room for improvement but what is there not to like in PROGRESS???

Yeah just look at that awful pass he threw to Anthony Armstrong. What a terrible QB.
Seriously, give me a freaking break. McNabb is our entire offense right now.
