With Mike Vick and his deep threat weapons.....we are in trouble folks...!!!
With our porous D and 2ndary and poor game prep and attititude, we "are who we thought" we were.
Shanny x2, Hastlett, and all players BETTER focus and have a game plan - cuz I don't have a good feeling about this game.
Is the ship sinking?
Are the rat jumpin ship?
Here's to hoping we pull off an upset - someway, somehow

what a difference 2 weeks makes - we are now most likely underdogs - even last week we were considered "favorites"

I expect a close game.... could even be a win. But I really expect another heartbreaker where they'll make it a game and then Vick will drive down field at the end of the game to take the W.
I think that's the type of team we have here this year. A team that will lose the games they're supposed to win and be close (and maybe even win) in the some of the ones they're not. Enough to keep my interest, but then they'll stab me in the heart when I start thinking they might be legit (like yesterday). I don't think they'll completely de-rail, because of the coaching, but I think its going to be another loooooong season again.
Nevertherless, I'm still upbeat, because although I had my hopes up and thought we might enjoy one of those zero-to-hero quick turnarounds and now I realize we likely won't, I'm happy to go through a building period and am confident that this coaching staff and Allen will get it together in a reasonable amount of time (couple years for me).
I'm looking forward to the game too, because I'll be down there amongst fellow fans watching the game (on TV), and I think its going to be a fun one to watch ....until, I think, the end....

Chris, I'm gonna try that attitude on for size! At least for the week...........
Does that mean we should hope for a McNabb contract extension to ride us through?

I could be wrong but I don't think that he is going to sign an extension during the season.

This is the one week I wish Mike Vick would run afoul of the law again. Nothing major, just something that would enable Kolb to get back under center.

Didn't Vick just beat like the Lions and the Jaguars? Let's see how he plays in an NFC east game before we start messing our pants.

I heard that the Eagles have renamed their version of the wildcat and it is now called the Jailbreak. Donavan McNabb when asked about the starting quarterback controversy in Philadelphia said he didn't care because he no longer had a dog in that fight.

I hope not, I want their best when we crush them this weekend. I'm definitively picking the Skins in Hognostications. It's money in the bank. Well, not money, but pride for a fan. I bleed burgundy and gold you know...

Mcnabb is returning to the place he has played for ten years. A team that felt he had lost it and let him go. Returning to fans who have been mostly ungrateful for what he did there.
This is one of the biggest games in Mcnabbs career. Maybe the biggest. This team must show up for him. We all know it is more then just a game for Mcnabb this week. Nothing less then maximum effort will do.
I have a feeling our team will show up.

That is a VERY good point. I think its gonna be a fun game to watch. I'm just keeping my expectations in check.
Plus the "Mcnabb showing them what they're missing" factor is huge.

Biggest game for DM would be a Super Bowl win (with the Skins, I hope)

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Our D sucks as much as the Lions and Jags, if not worse.

If we run the ball and keep their offense off the field we have a shot. Throwing deep to an obvious Santana Moss is going to result in Asante Samuel having 4 picks on the day. Run run run Skins! control the game and for god sakes stop kicking field goals in the red zone!

The more things change...the more they stay the same.

I'm sure we are going to see a very well played game this Sunday in Philly - hopefully the Eagles play well too because I'm pretty sure we're going to see a very good game with a great game plan from both Kyle and Haslett this week
Redskins 27 - 24

I don't get why anyone is afraid. I look forward to NFC East games. If you're afraid of them then why even be a fan of the Skins? The whole point of a divisional rivalry is that it's anyone's game. All the better if we are the underdog!

IB, I can be optimistic if I see a glimmer of hope, but I haven't seen ANYTHING consistant that gives me a reason to be optmistic short of 'any given sunday'

My only point is that even that should be enough that we don't have to talk about how
afraid we are that the Eagles are coming to town. Maybe it's just me, but the very thought of being afraid of the Cowboys, Eagles, or Giants is enough to make me

Well... "any given Sunday" always gets a bit of a boost when it's teamed with "division rival Sunday." Add that to "DM's first game at the Linc in B&G Sunday" and you can roll the dice. Things like this can turn into real equalizers.

I get ya. I'm still negative from this loss, but I'll be hyped up again by Thursday for hte Eagles. I'm always looking for us to turn the corner. I can't help it; this is the only sport for me and I am passionate and emotional about it.
