For the second straight game conservative calling in the redzone and wrong packages (not the right personel in). Our line isn't strong enough to run it in from the 10 yard line.
RB's feel like they have just discovered America when they get past 10 yards and scared to run.
2nd WR missing in action again.
Props to Gano...he did what he could being a punter...but gooooooddness whats up with all of these blocks!!?
Haslett defense is what is is 32 in the league. Guys playing out of position, bad scheming. You blitz a veteran qb all day long (Texans) then you face a rookie and hold back (Rams). Real backwards!

Haslett has to go. I wasn't a fan going into the year (I'm not the only one either), and he's just proved what we already knew.

Ok you ballers out there...what's the best way to "defend" against the quick outs to the WR? The rook shredded us with that.

We need to give BOTH our CBs help. Since we can't do both all the time, we have to mix it up. This does mean we can't blitz very often. It's not sexy and cool, but a bend don't break defense considering our personnel is much better than and just break defense that we've been playing. As we shown in the past, if you play disciplined, you can use this personnel appropriately to make a top 10 defense.

I'm still confused as to why we switched to the 3-4. What had Haslett shown in the past that would have justified ruining this defense.

Who's that coach that the Redskins fired? Greg Williams? Isn't that the
guy who was defensive coordinator for the Super Bowl Champion Saints?

Bump and run, safety help overtop. Not sure but thats how I would play the outs.

Cover them tight instead of laying off 10 yards because they scared they going to get beat. Bump in run to knock guys off their route and timing. Of course, you don't scheme the same way but it is a chess game that you have to play to win. Can't do the same thing expecting different results. Qb's pass short outs and come backs on us with ease....

We gonna get our Ashe handed to us.

Yeah, the 3-4 may be a good system, but as many pointed out prior to this game; we don't have the personnel for it yet.
60 points in two games? Yeah it's great we had five sacks last week, and we certainly are seeing more turnover come our way, but what's the point if you let teams hang 30 points on you every game?
Especially a team as bad as St. Louis. Congrats to them for not playing as bad as we did. We just made them look like playoff contenders.

and McCoy in that one dimensional offense had more rushing yards than either of our backs (54).

And good DBs will start noticing this and start jumping routes. Notice, I said "good" DBs.

And by jumping routes you mean ramming directly into the back of the WR before the ball gets there so you get called for pass interference b/c thats what Carlos Rogers thinks.

Cuz I wanted him to prove me wrong this year. One INT...not enough Carloser. Getting burned and out or position....that's the Carloser we've come to know.

I never thought I'd be able to say this, but the Wizards and Nationals have more of a chance at near term success than the Skins do.
How is it possible to be the team with the second highest salaries and get manhandled year after year?

Yeah, you can keep calling him that. Remember the ball had to hit his hands 3 times to catch his only pick this year.

I was curious; the point of the switch was to generate more sacks and turnovers, right?
I understand that this is a work in progress. That's the caveat. However, I'm not seeing it so far.
Last year, after 3 games we had forced 3 turnovers. This year, we've forced 4.
We're on pace for 21 TOs (last year we had 17). With 7 sacks, we're on pace for 37.3 sacks this year. Last year, we had 40.
We're on pace to get slightly more TOs, and less sacks. So far, the returns on this 3-4 defense, solely from sacks and TOs, are not positive.
Of course, then you add in the fact that we've given up a LOT more yards and, most damaging, a heck of a lot more points, this switch looks like a disaster.
Last year we gave up 30 or more 3 times in 16 games. We've already managed that twice in 3 games. It's going to be a long season, folks.

1-2 and it doesn't look good down the road, its like deja vu from seasons past. New GM, Coach, QB, same ol same ol.
