You do realize that there are actually REDSKINS fans there, right?

Yes. I also realize it isn't illegal to carry a firearm into a bar in Massachusets for one's own personal protection.

Then again with Mr. GROSSman apparently being named the starter, I don't think my comments will be the focus of any negative attention on Sunday.

No. I'm actually a responsible gun owner who is properly licensed and capable of carrying a concealed weapon without shooting myself.

Someday, you'll learn that the ones with a red plastic plug in the muzzle aren't real... Nothing to see here.

Why would you even write that!? Are you saying you're gonna bring a gun into the bar? And if so, for what reason? Are you afraid someone's gonna beat you up? I mean, what the hell!!?? I'd love to come join you guys, but not if some tool is gonna be packing heat. Jesus......

CT has it in his head that I'm not a "REAL" Redskins fan, Chris. His comment was designed to poke fun and be a slap in my face. If he wants to go down that road, I can go down it as well.

Given the circumstance where I would actually need to bring it, I'd probably not go instead; but I do quite often carry a firearm into restaurants and bars for personal protection. I don't trust ANYONE, Chris. I never have.

At this point considering CT's comment, I'm seriously considering not heading into Boston on Sunday anyway.

Wow, I usually respond in kind to insults. You know, use my wits. I think a gun threat's a bit out of scope. You don't sound like a lot of fun to hang around with, so maybe staying in Worcester is best for all concerned. People want to root for the team. That's why they get together. Not to bitch. But if you do show up some day, i truly would like to meet. maybe I've got you all wrong....

As I mentioned earlier, I carry it most places I go. I rarely go anywhere with a large number of people without it.

No, I am not typically a lot of fun to hang around with. Especially when sports are involved.

If the get together is simply a gathering of individuals who are total homers, then I wouldn't fit in there to begin with. To me a true fan is not afraid to boo his own team when they don't get things done. If that's not the sort of thing that would be welcome there, then you won't EVER see me in attendance.

Just a quick update for folks....

Around 30 Redskins fans gathered at Goodbar in Boston this afternoon to watch the game. It's a small place, and we literally owned it for the entire game. Every TV was on the Redskins game. The staff was even wearing Skins apparel and we had "Hail To The Redskins" blaring through the place every time we scored.

It's a small place, but the people were great. Anyone looking for a place to watch the game in the greater Boston area, hit up the link in the OP of this thread, and come on by next Sunday.

It's good that you didn't have to break out your light sabre, and bust up the place.
