Anyone have any info on Trent Williams injury? If the Redskins have to go will Heyer, it is over.

I say move Jamaal Brown to LT and play Heyer at RT.

Its a knee. He's going to get an MRI tomorrow and then we'll know. I would expect that move like what Deadskins said.

If he was walking around on it i'm almost positive it's just an MCL sprain... but that could mean 4-6 weeks.
I think all O-linemen in the NFL should have to wear knee braces. While it's not a 100% preventative, it would help the severity.

I've seen plenty of guys walk off the field with a torn ACL. That he was walking around on the sidelines doesn't tell you much.

I just had my 5th knee operation. When I tore my ACL the first time, I played the rest of the game and two other football games before I finally went to the dr. yes, I'm one tough SOB but walking around is not and indication of health.

He didn't seem too concerned about it in post game interviews. Said he didn't hear a pop and that he passed all of the ACL tests that the trainers did on the sideline.

passing the ACL tests are a huge thing. Sometimes you can twist your knee which is very scary but doesn't injure you. Let's hope that's it. We'll see tomorrow if he's knee is 3x's normal size.

More then needing him in there, we just need him to get experience this year. Being a rookie again next year would really suck

How is Stephon Heyer still on this team. It boggles my mind. I hope Trent is Ok, "we cannot win without him" =)

Good news on Trent Williams, MRI negative, no structural damage to knee, does have a sprained toe
Well that's great news. I wonder if we'll hold him out this week vs the Rams as a precaution to get that toe better?

On 980 they are saying it'll be a few weeks before he's back out there since the knee is sprained. I think they said it's usually a 3-4 week injury. Thank god he's not out for the year though.

Then you've got to move Brown to LT and Heyer to right. Unless there is something I don't know about Heyer - coaches have been high on him - I would hope he's not on the left side.

He has been excellent so far. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery because we need him on that OL.

I'll admit that I was wrong about this guy, he's very serious about improving his technique and maximizing his athleticism. Not sure he will be a better pass blocker than Okung but he will more than likely be more balanced and explosive. Ware and Williams is a horrible way to start your career, and while they each got a sack, they didn't make things too uncomfortable for McNabb. Hopefully he'll be good to go by the iggles game.

Early reports indicate no structural damage. That's great news for us because our season would have taken a nose dive if Trent misses any significant time.

Nice admission, Brad. I forgot about your original distaste for him, but it was pretty strong!
I like how Chris Samuels has been intimately involved in this Williams's
development.
Keeps a great Redskin as a part of the team, and shows that Trent is really serious about living up to his potential. I was willing to give Shanahan the benefit of the doubt with respect to Williams, only because he has a track record of having great tackles.

Great news that the injury wasn't serious. I was definitely holding my breath on that one.

Hard not looking past the Rams to Philly... but if there is a week to rest him this year... this is it.
