THIS WIN WAS HUGE!!!!

Yes - all caps are very relevant to use here. Great job tonight. The whole team fought - the crowd was awesome. We have a ton to build on. Get it going next week b/c we're going to need it vs. Houston.

Just wanted to give props to the team.

Orakpo and the rest of the defense played great. Fletcher, Hall, Landry, Rogers all played great games. IMHO Orakpo was clearly the difference tonight. The constant pressure on Romo kept us in the game and ahead of the game.

two things...

1. portis is the best pass protection rb in the history of the game. he just torpedoes himself into d-lineman twice his size.

2. what harm is there is having DT at wr. i want the ball in his hands. even just a bubble screen. he looked great on kickoff return.

Disappointed with
1. Josh Bidwell - poor holding, poor punting
2. Sellers - Dropped passes a few missed blocks
3. Doughty- can't be too harsh but he bite hard on the TD

Liked
1. Defense Aggressiveness - everyone was flying around
2. LT williams, tough first opponent but held his own
3. Gano make clutch kick at end
4. Orakpo should get game ball

We are 1-0 and that is all that matters.

Good things to take from the game and lots of areas to improve.

I will take it and think we will get better as the year goes on. Remember new coach new schemes new defense new pants . . . well almost new.

HAIL

Odd note on the NBC broadcast. Chris Collinsworth said , "Haslett says Orakpo is the best football player on this team, any position". Next play, Landry recovers from nowhere to splatter a receiver after a catch, so the same Chris C tells us that "Coach Haslett says that Landry is the best athlete on the team".

I suppose there is a subtle difference between being the Redskins' best pure football player and the best pure athlete, but it's might subtle...because it left me thinking that Chris C just makes up baloney as he goes, immediately forgetting whatever he's said before.

A win over Dallas. Ah, how sweet!

One thing you will never hear is "Chris C. is the best announcer we have ever heard."

I liked the theme song.

Hard fought win. It's a start & we have a bunch to work on. A win like this is good for morale.

Hail Redskins. First place in the NFC East, and undefeated against division opponents. A great start!

Lots of room for improvement.
I told my father in law I didn't like the idea of taking points off the board and it. Almost cost us th game.
How about DHall scoring the first Defensive points in THREE YEARS!
WAY too many drops!
Williams held his own against Ware.

I just got back from the game and here are some "take aways" I had:

(1) Cowboys are a horribly coached team.
(2) Alex Barron may be the worst lineman in football. Orakpo walked around him the entire game.
(3) McNabb was missing open receivers all game. (both missed reads and poor throws).
(4) Impressed by Trent Williams. Sure, he got beat a lot, but it looked like he was competing.
(5) Haynesworth has to go. The relationship is broken irreparably. I don't know what it looked like on tv, but he wasn't talking to anybody on the sidelines.

He claims it helps him focus. But to me it looks like his teammates are going to lose support for him, fast if he keeps it up.

Yeah. Hayensworth is a total bust at this point. CAn't stand him. I'd love to see him just go away...

Bob Costas also called #98, Brian "Orapko". NBC, gotta love 'em.

Great win

Give them credit it wasn't a masterpiece this was a 4-12 team last year and these were the kinds of games they would find a way to lost not take advantage of shaky play calling and dumb mistakes by the opposition

Finally this game gives us something to be energized about, they have alot of work to do, but winning a game like this against our most hated rival, has to give optomisim.....

It wasn't pretty. The skins have a bunch of things to work on. But after all is said and done, the Redskins just beat the pundit's shoo-in for the superbowl. Feels good, don't it?

I'm still not sure how a team with a shaky coach, a shaky qb, a shaky o-line, can be anyones pick to go to the Superbowl, but anytime we beat those pricks it is a good day.....

And I dreaded seeing that clown Wade Phillips make that stupid face and celebrate like a cheerleader and not a coach, had they holding call not happened....

I have been hard on Landry, he would drive me nuts, but I have to say he was by far the best player on the field tonight.......maybe that Haslett fellow as the ball coach called him, has actually gotten to this guy to eliminate the dumb mistakes. The talent has always been there....

I've been hard on Landrty too. But I think he had a monster day today. I think having the right DC has helpd him.

Landry was the best player on the field tonight, hopefully Haslett can help him become the dominant safety most thought he was going to be when he was drafted.....Hall and Orakpo deserve credit as well they were also great in that game.

Weren't we all thinking about how we trailed 13-0 in that Monday night game and came back and won. When we settled for 3, after having taken points off the board that would have iced it, was a set-up for disaster. Who didn't know that Romo would scramble around and then find someone. game over, we lose. But then, no! Victory! I guess that's why they play the games. 8)
