I know a lot of you are also college football fans. I wanted to see who's buying the hype of UNC this year. Why they think NC State will tank this year, etc.

Here's my thoughts. I think that we're going to see a lot of what we've seen in the past. VT will be good - really good. UNC is falling a part faster than they can pick up the pieces. With guys that young, they can't manage the distractions. Clemson I believe will not be as good as they were last year. Kind of hard to lose Spiller. FSU is over hyped. Their defense stinks as bad as NC States did last year. GT is up in the air and Wake - who knows as well.

HOKIES WILL BEAT BOISE STATE IN REDSKINS HOME!!!!

.. not like I'm a Hokie fan, I'm a Terps fan 100% but no way in hell would I root against a team that is based in Redskins territory!

Aye I heard something about UNC having some kind of issues regarding the booster thing, anyone else know about that? (UNC Football, not bball)

I'm an NC State fan so I've been following it pretty closely. Here's what's up with UNC:

They have a player in the NFL who is now up in Seattle. Several of their players went out to San Francisco to train this summer and he paid for their entire trip, training etc. These same players, along with a few at U. S. Carolina and I think two other schools went down to S. Florida. They were flashing cash like it was free money. All of those guys, with the exception of two, grew up very poor so it wasn't adding up. They, the NCAA, had enough concern that there was contact made between the UNC players and the agent that represents the before mentioned ex-UNC player who is up in Seattle. So the NCAA is investigating this situation.

Now, through the course of the investigation, the NCAA found out that the majority of UNC's top ranked defense actually has been cheating in the classroom. There was a paid tutor that was writing all their papers for them. When asked, I'm told that some of these same players didn't even know what classes they were taking or who their professors were.

The most interesting part is that this tutor - the one who was helping the uNC player's cheat in class - is also an employee of Butch "MF" Davis and also tutor's Butch's son.

What a weird coincidence. I love seeing UNC collapse.

Kentwan Balmer DE was drafted by SF but was traded to Seattle this offseason b/c he didn't show up to training camp once all this started at UNC.

ACC teams play football? We're a basketball conference, dammit!

(Terp alumni here. We don't really have a football team this year).

Dag, that's pretty deep. Like ALL those college players didn't have any common sense not to flash the cash huh? Looks like good candidates for a job with the Bengals in the NFL
