Via Twitter: Albert is raising all kind of hell. He's very pissed that he had to play in the 3rd Qtr. He's pissed b/c his headache was inaccurately portrayed and said that he won't be at off season next year.

Can we please say "GOODBYE!!!1"

Redskins PR cut him off after 90 sec's.

Orakpo said this is a good thing. This was a reality check matched up against a year in year out playoff team.

He said, "Don't worry about our D because we're no where near opening our bag of tricks and I can see how once we do, we're going to wreak havoc."

Great thought.

who runs a fake punt in the preseason? That should be illegal.

that's the 3rd I've seen this offseason. Matter of fact, I thin it was featured on hardknocks this past weekend.

Did he really say that? If so thats not good. He's making excuses. The Ravens didn't open up their full offense just as they didn't open up their defense full strength so they were even. They need to improve and stop letting folks run on them. If we didn't have Fletcher, I would be very worried.

I'm not. We're a top 5 defense so I'm not worried. The only thing I want improvement on is that they make plays when it counts.

Anybody have any updates on the injuries? McNabb was limping on the sidelines and Trent Williams was in an arm sling? Moore never showed up on the sidelines after his injury. Sellers was on the sidelines walking around, but he was limping.

Here's the update via twitter:

McNabb - twisted knee but "It happens."

...same response from Moore and Williams got a Helmet to the elbow so he's gonna be fine too.

New tweet - LJ said that he wants every 4th Qtr. carry b/c he needs to prove himself.

See, I don't buy that. You should still be able to generate some pressure on a qb out of your base package. The Ravens were able to do it, we weren't. It's still only preseason, but the first team didn't look good on either side of the ball.

I was at the game and Armstrong looked great in person. I really hope he gets a chance this year. He has been much more impressive than Thomas.

We are not even a top 5 defense on papers so where you get that from?

It seems like over the last few years players have had the same attitude that you have, to seem to think they can turn it on like a light switch. They need to play hard in preseason too and get ready for Dallas! Our front seven looks very suspect, however I am pleased with the play of our defensive backs. Rogers seem to be out of his funk, Hall is doing his thing as well as the safeties....but yeah it is nothing worse then a team that can't stop the run. Second stringers have ton of experience and should be playing better as well.

Dude - who do you think the Raven's are? You know they've been to the playoff's the last few years and their line is pretty good. Not to mention that I think that we were trying a lot of different things. Seriosly, it's preseason and more than anything, I'm not worried.

Doom - where's gloom?

Wow, good thing I didn't watch the game. One thing I have noticed though from both games is that this 3-4 has given up a lot of yards on the ground at times.

Let's also not forget that we didn't game plan on offense for the Ravens and also threw the ball more so that they could evaluate the offense. If there is a concern I take out of this game it was the inability of the defensive line to generate any pressure.

I'm looking at last year and the reigns that we're held on this defense. Then a new D-Cord. comes in and Yes he's switching us from the 4/3 to the 3/4 but I just look at GB. They were a very good Defense. We were a better Defense w/ less turn overs. We were #1 in the red zone last year (stat was produced tonight during this game). Of course you can only assume that I'm drinking some cool aid but I've always liked Haslett and I think that he's going to be very important to this team. And given the player's that we have on defense, you'll be surprised.

Btw Williams' injury was to his forearm, not his elbow. He's expected to be fine though.

I'm worried. The offensive line was absolutely crushed, holes closed before our RB's got to them, and McNabb was harrassed. A few other things: McNabb was erratic, our defense couldn't get to the passer or stop the run, and our receivers dropped balls. On the plus side, Moss, Arnstrong and Cooley looked good and the defensive backs did good jobs. But hey, this game was bad news. Larry Johnson looked awful, both as a runner and a blocker. In fact, no RB looked like he could play, except Portis (on one play).
Most of all, I'm afraid our line isn't fixed. Second, I'm afraid, the 3-4 is a mistake. If my fears are justified, it's going to be a long season. I have no faith in Dockery and Rabach, by the way. Both were ineffective.

Update on Moore: Sprained MCL. Doesn't seem to be too serious though.

well, this was a good test. There's room for improvement that's for sure. I have to say though, the second team D. Albert Haynesworth, for all the accolades and notoriety he has built coming into our team, earning a huge chunk of the cap, he can't dominate a second team O line? I mean these are bench warmers he's going up against, he should be head and shoulders above this. He looks average at best out there.

he was just pissed he was out there. So I think he was playing half a$$'d.

Hey, take away that fake punt, and it would be a 6-3 ballgame with starters against starters ...and since the Skins are learning a new offense and a new defense ... playing a very good football team that is well established ... I really am encouraged by what I saw in the first half. A real test, and they battled a TOUGH , PHYSICAL team.

Larry Johnson looked bad ... the running game in general didn't look good at all, but again, the Ravens are hard to run on, and our offense is still learning ... still having to think rather than just react and play.

And the good news is Armstrong and Banks ... these kids look like they could become serious offensive threats ... so while Thomas and Kelly are disappointing, there are others stepping up.

Other good news is that McNabb made some really nice plays under pressure, with no running game help and a bunch of drops. He's still learning the system too .. so, when he really gets comfortable, and the oline has some time to build some cohesion, I think these guys are going to put points on the board.

And ..... Santana still has some gas in the tank ... and I think he's going to have a great year ... I like how they've been moving him around.

The sky is definitely NOT falling.
