Portis interview today

anyone see the Portis interview today? At the end he kind of talks about the "BS" that was going on last year. He never really clarified what he was talking about, but I think everyone has an idea. That team was such a joke last year. I'd love to have one of the players write a book about it. Like Ethan Albright or someone that had no skin in the game. Just a fly on the wall kind of guy.

I know what you're saying. One day we'll get the full story of what all went down last year. I'd buy that book!
What Portis was saying in that interview makes a lot of sense to me. Can you imagine trying to come back from injury just to play on that train wreck of a team?

I like to call that special teams play last year the "Hit of acid"

I think that Portis and the other players that experienced what went on here last year will be looking forward to being a part of a properly run organization
I'm very encouraged to hear that both players and coaches are looking forward to being a lot tougher and more effective this season - we needed a major attitude adjustment and it sounds like they're all buying into this

Trust me, that was nowhere near as fun as a hit of acid.

Probably not Ethan... he might have other work to do before the end of preseason...

Can we please just find a way to forget last year. It never existed, okay?

I whince whenever Portis opens his mouth, but I have been optimistic lately. I am actually hopeful for our upcoming season for the first time in a while. I think the iron hand of Shanny is going to help us succeed.

welcome aboard - actually the players and the coaches are going to be a huge factor
this is a lot different than what we have seen here for some time and NONE of the previous 10 years means anything to what this group can get done here this season

I disagree. I think players and coaches are VERY overrated.
