Well this will be interesting. Why is right? Fox sports or espn 980?

Pro football talk said the rumors of him failing the test may be false... Or that he passed the first part and failed the second.

Based on the sources, I'd default to ESPN. The corporate culture at Fox is so used to lying that it may be bleeding into their sports coverage.

Yeah I heard that on the radio too. But Jason Reid wrote that AH "killed it" or something to that effect.

I think Big Al has been a complete douche all offseason, but I would love to see him turn it around and help out the team this fall.

Chris somebody on espn 980 stated he did well on the first test, went to the bathroom before the second test, struggled with the second test. Shanny has locked down communication with media.

He's a 320# dude who has to run 2 300yd shuttles, equating to 12 50 yard sprints, and that's the part he failed. Just like suicides, that is one rough anaerobic stress test. My heart hurts thinking about doing it.

From what we have heard - do you have any doubts about this guy?

We have heard that he wanted to do his training in the offseason by himself so he could get in better shape to be more effective as a player

We have heard that he's 30 to 40 lbs below what he was last year

We have heard that he was going to come to camp early to make sure he could get off on the right foot with both Mike & Jim

We have heard that he wants to make the most of his opportunity here and from what he said before last year - "I want to be the most dominating NFL lineman in the game"

do we have any doubts about this guy at all?

You will overreact to anything!! I swear.

He failed the 2nd part of the test. Doesn't mean he didn't work out, or work hard on his own. It might not have been in his regime. Its reported he's in better shape than last year and lost weight. He'll pass the test tomorrow, calm down.

So apparently he had to run a third set because Shanny thought he rested too long between sets. So he basically passed the test, Shanny's prolly just being a jerk and deservedly soooo! LOLOL

Sorry - but I don't trust this guy and am questioning reports that he was not able to practice - I really don't think that is overreacting

what has Haynesworth done recently that makes you feel comfortable with his intentions to be the best he can be?

Im all for Shanahan putting him through this test and making him earn his way back onto the field for all the BS he put the team through this offseason .. BUT with training camp offically here and Haynesworth reportedly meeting with the coaches with his tail between his legs I think there needs to be a point where they put the past behind them and see what he can do for this D if he is willing to give it a chance.

If Shanahan pushes things too far its just going to cause Haynesworth who we already know is as unprofessional as they come to go right back to his old ways and disrupt the team.

at this point IMO i say let him put in work with the team (2nd or 3rd string to start) and then if you see a lack of effort and a poor attitude you take a stance against him but to just create problems from the start because your mad about the way things went this offseason doesnt make you any better in the long run

and I know there are going to be alot of you that dont agree with me and how I feel about it but its just my opnion on the matter and Im all for anyone who will make this team better if they show they are willing to work hard to do that and the only way to find that out is to let them show it on the practice field. My 2 cents

I hope that Shanahan helps keep him in great football condition - we need to get him ready to both play & play well if we are going to get anything for him when we move him out of here

I agree with the notion that Shanny is just being a jerk. 3 300 yd sprints?? Come on. Shanny is just showing that he is in charge, and giving AH some payback. Hopefully, he will pass it tomorrow.

I doubt he'll have to run 3 tomorrow. He'll run the 2 that he passed today and pass. Mike is just showing he's in charge. I'm not mad at Albert for failing something that I doubt the other guys on the team could pass. According to sources no other dlinemen had to run this drill.

I think that Shanahan is treating everyone the same - what would be the point in acting childish or trying to push Haynesworth - not happening

Shanahan is a proven quantity who is doing everything he can to turn this franchise around and ensure success on the field - Haynesworth is not

give him a PISS test too.... maybe he's been doping???

Ugh sir, you do not know that to be fact...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/29/haynesworth-shanahan-exchange-words-after-failed-conditioning-test/

It's currently our understanding that Haynesworth was the only lineman required to pass the conditioning test.

Not only did he have to do something nobody else did, he had to do more than what would be required of everyone else. That sir is a statement test purposed for him to fail. I aint mad at Mike for doing it at all. But complaining he failed something designed to make him fail is like complaining that I can't fly.
