I don't understand this.... we've got some serious talent in the backfield but he still wants Westbrook who I've never thought was better than Duece Staley.

as much as I hate the Eagles, your comparison of Westbrook to Staley is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard in relation to the Eagles... all my friends from Philly are quite upset now that McNabb was traded... however, I equate what you said to all those Philly fans who said McNabb was not good a good QB, despite owning a crap-load of their passing records and constantly winning games for them...

Who knows how much Westbrook has left in the tank? We also have plenty of talent in the backfield. If he comes cheap then why not? The upside would be him and Mcnabb know each other well.

No where in my reply did I do any comparisons. I said I liked Staley better. *shrugs* When we played Westbrook, he never scared me like Duce did. At one time, all the Eagles had was Staley, and he put it on his shoulders. I never saw that with Westbrook.

So you saying my personal opinion of Staley being better than Westbrook is wrong? You can say that... but I find THAT absurd. Not one of the most or anything dramatic.... just absurd. :)

I would not be surprized to see Westbrook signed, and provided opportunities for YAC out of the slot, as well as out of the backfield.

Since free agency way back when, there are rarely 1 team careers anymore. Gotta go with the times IMO.

reports are that "Fast Willie" looks slow and does not offer much as a 3rd down back. I am guessing he will be cut and Westbrook will be signed.

Yes BW has had concussion problems but when your only playing 10 snaps a game, its easier to stay healthy. Im guessing Johnson and Portis will get the bulk of the carries and Westbrook will play out of the slot and will be a pass catching 3rd down back.

I wouldnt mind some of those screens from Philly coming down 95, thats for sure. Those 2 ran the prettiest screen pass together I have ever seen and it used to burn us all the time

Bleeding burgundy and gold like everyone else here, I would say this to every eagle I see. 8)

I'd rather see Staley than Westbrook wearing green back there when we field our D. =)

I like the idea of turning my enemies' best weapons against them. What will their Eagles legacies be like if they turn around and start scoring TDs for the Redskins against Philly?

If we sign Westbrook, he immediately becomes a receiving threat. Willie Parker is not known for his pass catching ability and apparently isn't showing much running ability either.

I doubt we will go into the season with 4 active running backs, so what's the problem with signing Westbrook if he can contribute something that Willie can't?

Yup.. and with SM's 4 games out that will help alot. I didn't want BW but if Willie isn't looking good, than I'm ok with this.

I didn't like the sound of this at first but the more I think about it the more I like the idea of it. If you've got Cooley and B. Westbrook out there as recieving threats on 3rd down, you're gonna get a lot of first downs.

When McNabb and BW were at Philly, they were very good on 3rd downs. It reminded me of the Sonny to Jerry Smith combination. I think it is possible for them to do well as a Redskin, especially if you add Cooley to the mix.
