Identify This! Thread

I have post-draft/pre-season boredom.
Basically, I will put a picture up and someone will identify what or who it is. Then I will put up another.
Here's the first, I'll start out with an animal, a local one to make things easier.
Things will get gradually more difficult...

A hint: You can find it in the Chesapeake and its not anywhere near as big as it looks in the picture.

Not so much a city as a region: it's in Nubia, about 270 miles south of Aswan.

Right. I was going for Abu Simbel, which is in Nubia. Not sure if that is the city name though, or just the temple.
