A 6th and 7th. Pick for this years draft.

ESPN is totally asleep at the wheel. Made no mention of the trade.

No one is updating the trade - twitter or anything.

we traded 163 for 174 (our pick) and 217

Yup... the 6th rounder is the one we traded for Taylor

i think they're all so used to us not picking in this year's draft they've forgotten we're there ...

per espn - We traded our 5th for #5 in the 6th, and #12 in the 7th.

So now we have the 5th pick in Round 6, and 2 picks in the 7th. Also we have a 4th rounder in 2012 for Jason Campbell.

LOL @ all the "fans" saying that this regime is the same as usual. We're getting more picks. #uninformed < twitter reference.

If you think about it from a broad perspective, these moves were pretty nifty.

We essentially took our 5th rounder and picked up 1) Adam Carriker, 2) recouped our 6th from the Taylor trade, and 3) moved up in the 7th.

So while we only had 4 picks going in, we will walk away from the draft with 6 new players.

So we did that trade to grab an extra player in the last round of the draft?

Don't bring common sense into this. It's not welcomed and it will be overlooked.

Yessir. I listed them both on my wish list in another trade. I thought both would be gone by now.

I'd bet that we draft LeFevour or Pike in the 7th if either one is still available.

Carriker, our 6th back, moved up in the 7th and added a 7th not to bad for a low 5th round pick.

I agree Canes but I wouldn't be shocked for us to bring in the kid from WV as an UFA if he's available. He's raw with a ton of upside - per scouts.

I think it depends on the player. The NFL draft used to be 12 rounds and there were good players drafted 7-12. I am of the mind that the dropoff can be mitigated by a good scouting department.
