I'm listening to 106.7 online and I think I just heard Rex was signed as a backup QB. I was trying to listen to it and so far they've spoken about his relationship with Kyle Shanahan and that kinda stuff. I didn't see anything online to quote so I'm just putting it out there.

QFT. Any players that can come in and help the guys adjust to the new schemes is a plus.

I think with Collins age, and no other experienced QB's on the roster besides Campbell that it is a good deal.

If I'm not mistaken I think Collins is gone already

Grossman is a nice person, but not a good QB! That is all.

booooo rex. we already have an NFL vet of 6+ years that was picked first in the draft and cant win a superbowl, why would we want two?

I'm not unhappy about it, especially if he already knows Kyle Shanahan's offense. So, that leaves one QB spot open, and lessens the likelihood that the Redskins will go QB with the #4.

Hahaha Rex Grossman has never seen an NFL offense that he's understood so I'm not sure how he is supposed to help teach it to anyone else. On the plus side, he's a Florida Gator so when I go to training camp this year I'll have someone to boo and heckle.

Shannahan just said in his press conference that he wants competition. That's great and something we HAVEN'T had at hardly any position in years.

why? It's not like Rex is the future of this team... this team still needs a franchise QB...

He was NOT brought in to fullfill that role. He is a BACKUP. He is someone who can come in a keep the offense moving in case of injury. He can TEACH. He was NOT brought here to be the face of the offense.
That being said, if you view him for what he IS, there's no room for disappointment.

Rex or Anderson.. dag gone it that's tough actually. That one year Anderson had a great season but after teams had footage of him they adjusted and he couldn't do squat. Rex on the other hand never had a great year and has been consistently average.. the one thing Rex does have that I don't mind having is superbowl experience. Not like that matters much anymore but he still has it and like my boyz already stated, he's here to hold the clipboard and talk to the other QBs about Kyle's offense. In the end, we're still drafting a QB, WE HAVE TO...
