"Performance in the NFC East will be key for our organization"
- Bruce Allen

The Gnats added Antrel Rolle, thats bad.

The Cowpies found a go-to reciever in Austin and still have DWare, that's also bad.

The Iggles have DJack and Mcnabb.

We have a a tall mountain to climb but I believe in Shanahan and Allen, I really and truly believe that they are going about fixing this team.

I'm looking forward to a strong running game.

I think the Gnats are the only team dumb enough to give Rolle the amount of money they did. From what i have read most GM's didnt even think he was the best safety on the Cards last year. Much less a franchise player worthy of the richest safety contract ever.

The only team that concerns me is the Eagles, because we cannot seem to stop Jackson from burning us.

We are looking to being competitive again in the NFC east in 2012 BUT we will take any win we can get in the next 6 NFC East games :D

Not sure who it will be but it would not surprise me if we won 2 or even 3 of those games

If Shanahan knew he was coming here last year I'm sure he spent lots of time dissecting our divisions opponents, pretty sure he knows that the running game is paramount

Running has been paramount in his offense when he was Denver.

Does anyone know what Shannahan's career record is against NFC East teams?

Since Shanahan coached in the AFC West for his entire coaching career, he only had 10 opportunities to coach against NFC East teams not named the Redskins. He has a 6-4 combined record against the Cowboys, Eagles and Giants, but is only 2-4 against them on their home turf.

Mike Shanahan
Career vs Cowboys, Eagles and Giants
vs Cowboys 3-1
vs Eagles 2-1
vs Giants 1-2
===
Total W-L 6-4
On Road 2-4
At Home 4-0

Shanahan will get this franchise back on track despite the desparate straits that Snyder and Cerrato have left us in- this is an NFL that has a lot of teams that are not in great shape and the NFC East is not as 'bad' as it used to be - we need a lot of work but with these guys in charge we can get ack into contention in a couple of years

thankfully, the other teams in the NFC East are not exactly scaring anyone either - Shanahan will get us back on top soon

Yea, speed kills. Which is why we should gamble on Jahvid Best in round 2. Just like the Iggles gambled on DeSean Jackson. Taking a player that could be elite but may not be isn't exactly a "gamble" if it comes in round 2.

Yeah, take RB's. We don't need an offensive line.

the other 3 franchises are better than we are, at this time, but not by a whole lot and what we are building will close the gap and this will not take much time

Simple competency at the HC level has DRASTICALLY closed the gap.

TIME MANAGEMENT
CHALLENGING CALLS
PLAY CALLING
PLAYER MANAGEMENT

Sorry for the CAPs but the simple orchestrating off on field activities, the chess match of the game is already 200% better and that should NOT be understated. The level of play for our players has already increased exponentially because they WILL be put in better position to succeed even IF they don't grow.

Al Davis would have picked him in the first round, Andy.
