Broncos, Browns announce Brady Quinn trade
Brady Quinn is on the way to Denver.
Shortly after Jay Glazer of Fox Sports broke the story, the Browns and Broncos formally announced that they've reached an agreement on a trade that will send quarterback Brady Quinn from Cleveland to Denver.
The Broncos' announcement said the team gave up fullback Peyton Hillis, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick and a conditional 2012 draft pick to the Browns for Quinn. Assuming Hillis and Quinn pass their physicals, the trade is a done deal.
Most of the space in the Browns' announcement was devoted to touting the acquisition of Hillis, noting that he played in 28 games with eight starts in his two years with the Broncos and had 81 carries for 397 yards and six touchdowns.
But the real news is about Quinn, who was praised on the way out by Browns coach Eric Mangini.
"I appreciate everything Brady did for us last year and in his three seasons with the Cleveland Browns," Mangini said. "He is professional in the way he goes about doing his job and worked extremely hard at every aspect of his game. I wish him the best of success in Denver."

Brady Quinn is on the way to Denver.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that Quinn was just traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Denver Broncos in exchange for running back Peyton Hillis and two conditional draft picks.
We've known since the Browns acquired quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme that Quinn was on the way out, and now we know that he's gone.
The question now is whether he'll be the starter in Denver. The Broncos' starter last season, Kyle Orton, is a restricted free agent who got a first-round tender.
