Listen to a local sports radio today, the host brought up an interesting point. He stated that this is the year that McNabb have to prove himself. As he stated (in brief):

For the past years, the Eagles made it to the playoffs with a great help of their defense and with some help of McNabb but sportswriters always claim that the Eagle do not go any further in the playoffs because McNabb did not have the receivers to compete. Now that the Eagles have TO, McNabb do not have any excuses anymore about not having a elite receiver to throw to.

It should be interesting what happens this year with TO and McNabb.

I'll tell you what's going to happen. The Eagles will win the NFC East again but, this time, they won't reach the NFC Championship game. This up-and-coming wildcard team in D.C. is gonna put them out of their misery in the divisional playoffs.

Simply put, McNabb has a lot of talent. I don't think anyone can dispute that. What he does not have, however, is leadership skills. Until he becomes a true "leader" on the field, he and the Eagles won't go anywhere.

And you're basing this on ... ?

I live in Eagles country. I'm basing this on what I've seen him do in the past several years. Yes, the team follows him because he's their QB...but he doesn't have the "aura" (for lack of a better word) of a leader in my opinion.
