This post originally was posting the report earlier that Peppers was on his way here well no go on anyone right now! Well its 1:30 am est, and looks like Peppers and Taylor are going to Chicago, Rolle possibly to the NYG and Dansby is visiting Miami. After all the talk by everyone throwing up their arms saying "OHH NOTHINGS CHANGED" well so far they are wrong. I can actually say I am extremely bored this evening, I guess i always took my midnight FA excitement for granted.....are you guys eerily disappointed this evening?...guess I am just going to have to get used to drafting and all that stuff...Just saw that Peppers fall back plan is Philly...Philly really? We arent even a fallback for a big name FA....this is soo weird I am really going to have to get used to not checking pft.com every 10 minutes.... come on Bruce at least get Rolle or Dansby!! AHH I NEED US TO BE LINKED TO SOMEONE!! This might take some FA Detox

Not to be the negative Nancy here, but I see Peppers being as effective as Jason Taylor was.

I just dont see this being good for us considering the price tag.

Youre not being negative just objective, Peppers is 4 years younger then Jason Taylor was when he came here, but I of course i understand your pov

I don't like how he's handled himself in Carolina the last few years. But I'm from NC and my family are Panther fan's so I'm biased.

I'm going to put my vote in the coaches hands. If they think he'll fit in here, I really believe he's going to be a stud

We're being punked right now.

Michael Lombardi just reported that Peppers is on his way to Chicago.

Were suppossed to be the kings of the offseason, not da bears,

Unfortunately our reputation has turned against us, now every team is painfully aware of how agressive we are and now they are matching out intensity. Chicago wants the headlines

C'mon Bruce! Do work!!!!!!!!

Chicago is punking us with Peppers

San Diego TOTALLY punked us with Sproles... "were going to let him test the market" SIKE!!

If this thing turns out the way it looks now here's something to chew on...

SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT VINNY... HE GETS HIS MAN.

As for Bruce the jury is out.

Best I can tell Allen hasn't made a attempt to contact Peppers agent, also hearing Allen's phone is ringing off the hook. I'm looking for a few trades over the next few days, mostly for picks and offensive linemen.

As we are being linked to Clifton , plus we have cut Todd Collins, does that suggest we are after a QB with the #4 pick?

Allen is focused on the secondary FA market and rumored to be against making a splash with a big name signing. Jason Babin and Karlos Dansby are the only names I've heard, Dansby is scheduled to meet the Dolphins this weekend. Chad Clifton and Casey Wiegmann are the only player known to be visiting Redskin's Park

I dont know what to think now that we seem to be sitting back in FA.. I always talk the talk of wanting to get away from going crazy at FA but now as I sit here and see us doing nothing while the big names get linked to other teams im kind of disappointed... guess im a hypocrite

Chad Clifton makes sense I guess but Im not too excited about a 33 year old FA OT.. our line needs an injection of youth and if signing him means we steer away from the OL in the 1st and maybe even 2nd round than we might as well have kept Vinny... I know its early and that I know nothing about our plans but it just worries me ..

I hope Bruce makes a push for Dansby at least.. My 2 cents

Babin looks like a hidden Gem, I wasn't even aware he existed.

Clifton is a necessity because we have no intention of drafting Okung.

Babin is a bust, 1st rounder who never played like one, I hope we don't sign him. But on the other hand he is from my alma mater, so go Babin!! But seriously, no thanks

I know we're all used to Redskins March madness, but I was pretty happy to wake up and not have a bunch of Redskins Insider text messages on my phone saying we paid tons of money to a bunch of big names.

Seriously, I am extremely encouraged by our moves and non-moves over the last two days. From the players we cut to the players we haven't signed. The biggest thing it says to me is that Shanahan and Bruce Allen are in control right now. Not the Dan!

I, for one, am not unhappy that the Redskins didn't get Sproles and may not get Peppers. Sproles is an over rated utility player/ kick returner and Peppers is an old over-the-hill (or almost) player looking for one last gigantic payday.

I for one am happy that the skins, for the moment, aren't chasing the crown jewel. We have a big fat blood diamond in the middle of the D-Line. This is what I want. discpline and direction with a solid front office. I can wait

What's with the double negative, Why didnt u just say "I, for one, am happy"

I don't know why everyone is saying "I, for one, am happy" as if that's a minority opinion. Haven't we all been complaining for years about the typical March FA push and draft pick giveaway?! I think most Skins fans are happy with the way the Redskins have handled this off season so far.

Not unhappy and happy don't necessarily convey the same feeling. Not unhappy, literally and grammatically, is the same thing, but when I personally say I'm not unhappy, it doesn't mean I'm pleased, it means that I am not upset with the scenario at hand. It's not necessarily conveying positive, just denying negative.
