Please have a Plan for Brennan.

I hope Mikey Shan
has a plan
for Colt Brennan

It's not a poem but a good start. I want to see this guy shine in the NFL. Is there hope?

And the assumption here is that Shanahan doesn’t think that Colt Brennan is going to be a part of the solution at quarterback. That may or may not be the case. Brennan fell out of favor with “the organization” last year, but now we’re dealing with an entirely different organization. Shanahan has different thoughts about quarterbacks than do most, and it’s possible that Brennan is in Shanahan’s plans.

I like Brennan, hopefully he gets a fair chance to prove himself under Shanahan and he takes advantage of it. I think he could be good, but I especially like the fact that he is not afraid to throw the ball downfield unlike what we've seen for the past few years.

I think Colt may have some of the things that Shanny likes in a QB. He is very accurate and makes quick (although not always the best  )decisions.

I think he'll get a fair shake just like everyone else on the roster. EVERYONE is being evaluated now by the new regime. Who knows, Colt might be our hidden gem like Brady! I know that is pushing it a bit but you can't hate a brother for his glass overflowing with optimism

and hope!

I don't see Colt as a part of this team moving forward. But, I don't know much so, yeah.

I expect Brennan to be released this year, especially if we draft a quarterback. He's not going to beat out Collins for third string.

Thanks Cal-Skin.... yeah HB baby (and I don't even surf).

Ok, so Colt was great in college. He can also be great in the pros. Somebody give the MAN a freakin chance....

With the new regime in place. I forgot all about Colt. Yes I agree, I hope he gets a fair shot. I really like the way he plays and certainly he is not afraid to take a chance.

CB is gone and so is Cooley (I hope I'm wrong about both - but I could live with CB being shown the door)

Colt Brennan is terrible.

(I said that in my best Charles Barkley voice while I was typing it)

So in other words, he's "turr-ible"

Zorn, for all his faults, was supposed to be a QB guru. He pick Brennan, late, after plenty of teams repeatedly passed on him. Zorn is also a stubborn guy, I think he proved that this past season as management tried to push him out. If Zorn, the only guy who wanted to take on Brennen as a project, as stubborn as he is was giving up on the guy, its time to move on to one of 20 guys who we could get just as late in the draft this year!

That's not really a fair analysis. Anyone who's not a first overall pick has been passed on. A second day pick? Been passed on dozens of times. I realize what point you're trying to make, though, but how do you know someone else wasn't trying to pick him up as a late round project?

Zorn was wrong about...

Devon, Fred and quite possibly Malcolm. There's a good chance that he was wrong and stubborn about Colt too.

Let's GIVE HIM A CHANCE and move forward. For a team strapped for draft picks and money, you guys are really quick to drop players without giving them a fair shake.

QB's are picked up in low rounds and after the draft all the time. Colt being drafted in the 6th and getting cut (if he is cut) is a complete non-event.
