About time! It shouldn't even have to come to this. It was tough: I wanted to root for Favre but I wanted to root for the Saints so Fletcher could get in. At least I got a really good game and Fletcher is where he belongs.

No, we're just assuming Vilma won't play in the pro bowl. It is a pretty strong assumption.

Although it hasn't been officially announced by the NFL, Fletcher via Twitter wrote:"12 years and 1 Overtime later....FINALLY Pro Bowl bound. Well worth the wait! God is great!!!"

It was already previously announced, as well as reported on J Reid's Insider, that, any Pro Bowl players whose teams made it to the Super Bowl, would not play in the Pro Bowl being held the week before the Super Bowl this year. Thus, London will get tke over Vilma's spot at LB.

Again, Congratulations to London Fletcher!

Dallas Clark has said he needs extra work before the SuperBowl. Payton Manning also said that Clark is going to play in the Pro Bowl.

If Clark spends the week before the super bowl practicing with assorted players and coaches instead of his own team, I'm putting money on the Saints. That said, Fletcher has been more than just an ILB for this team and the Rams before that. This man paid for his ticket with the most tackles in the last ten years, just imagine how many bruises and bumps that took

I wouldn't want my team to play in the probowl.
Congrat's to London. One guy who's deserved it for years but always overlooked.

If he does that is a really stupid move. If he wants to get some extra work in spend time with Manning after practice or something. It would be stupid to risk one of your best offensive players in a meaningless game.

I'm very happy for London — he has deserved more than a couple of appearances earlier in his career — and so this is a great day for him. Congrats, London!

While he deserves it, and has deserved it many times before, I feel like this is somehow tainted by the fact that he only got in because of the game being moved in front of the SB. Sucks for London.

I think this is a general flaw in the system. Not only does it ruin the spirit of the pro bowl, but it cheapens entry because more and more players will get in. Thanks, Goodell!
Nevertheless, I'm glad London makes it in. Overdue.

The spirit of the probowl is already out the window with Fletcher's repeated snubbings. All that matters is that he's finally in. In a way, this is a CORRECTION in the system

London has already said that it does not matter to him. If he doesn't care, then nor should we. There will be no "asterisk" next to his name in the Pro Bowl roster.
Fabulous news for the classiest player in football today.

No longer the Susan Lucci of pro football?
Recognition is not always part of being popular.
For London, I am sure he just wants respect.
He has been named a Pro Bowl alternate 8 times in his 11-year career.
One of the best locker room guys to wear the b & g so I've heard.
Congrats.
Hope he retires in DC.

It was meant to be. London didn't "luck" his way into the pro bowl; he played it in. The man earned it with blood, sweat, and tears. I cannot wait to see him commanding the huddle in the pro bowl. I think we can expect a lot of built up anger coming out when he is in there.
