Just from the press conference OMG it is night and day, I didn't realize how much much of a buffoon Zorn was until I heard Shanahan, his remarks are an overdue sound of confidence experience and determination. This is a tremendous upgrade.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if I would call Zorn a buffoon, though. I think that he was just in way over his head.

Shanahan hinted that they might move training camp away from Ashburn.

I'd welcome that idea

I'd heard the 'Skins were talking with Va Beach about moving training camp there, but that was a few years ago.

His basic point was that while he has run camp both ways, on his Super Bowl teams they went away for camp. It was in a response from Doc Walker, who, if you remember, was a major critic of the way that Zorn ran camp.

Is anyone else listening to Allen's interview with John Thompson? I'm more and more impressed every time I hear him speak.

I haven't seen the PC yet, I'm recording it for later. I was guessing he was alluding to the VA Beach deal, but I vaguely remember any of the details. I wanna say that was during the Gibbs years, and it was 86'd, but I can't remember why.

Fans protested it I think.

Training camp at the beach? No. Take them somewhere secluded and boring

Not just that, but VA beach can be crazy hot around that time of year. Mike Williams would sweat off fifty pounds!

I agree. Too many distraction available at such a "high profile" location. At least Redskins park is kinda in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't be upset seeing them move to Carlise again

Pick somewhere on the Eastern Shore in the transition area between Skins/Ravens/Eagirls country.

How about Blackburge, Va. Right smack dab in Hockey land?

Or back at Frostburge would be good. There are still a lot of Skins fans in central PA.
