Interview with Giants tackle Jacob Bender

Since I don't have anything nice to say on the boards about the game last night or the state of the team, I figured it would be better of me to give my hometown of Mayo, MD some pub.
This weekend I talked to New York Giants practice squad tackle Jacob Bender about a variety of topics.
Even though he's on a rival team, it feels great having someone represent my hometown in my favorite league.

Nice job Jake. Nice to have someone from your hometown make it to the big leagues.

Thank you very much, Hoss. It is quite the rarity, especially where I'm from.

THN: Even though practice squad players don’t travel with the team on road trips, will you still make it down to Maryland and watch the Monday night game with your family considering the majority of them grew up Redskins fans?
JB: I won’t be making the trip to Washington this week. My family will root for my team even though they have been Redskins fans since I was a young boy.
You should be a member of the Redskins organization. If they were ANY smart, they would hire you (with BossHog).
Man, are these not EXACTLY the kind of players we want in OUR team?
Merry Christmas brother and thanks for the job you have done year after year.

Thanks Dan. I wouldn't mind seeing him here next year. We need the depth.
