So, my timing is not so awesome but what the heck! I AM GOING TO MY FIRST SKINS GAME EVER THIS SUNDAY!!!! To be honest, I have only been to two other NFL games ever and one doesn't count cuz if was Saints v Bills in the Alamodome.

I am flying in from Austin to BWI. Tips? Tricks? My girlfriend I am going with has never been either. How early? I didn't ask her about parking (like if she got some paid parking).

We know nuthing. Tell me the way!!!!!

Good deal..puple parking is close (if snow is cleared) You're in the club level (middle section can also go inside. Be warned this is Dallas and alot of Skins fans ahve sold to Boys fans so it will be crazy!

Well, I have lived in Austin 20 years and have never mustered the courage to go to a game in Big D... I am sure we'll outnumber them at least!

This is not football related but why would you ever leave Austin...?

Well, not to live elsewhere in Texas anyway.

Austin is nothing like Dallas or Houston.

After going on Monday night, my suggestion is to make sure you get there early. It took us about two hours to drive from the New Carrolton Metro station to the stadium (a little over 4 miles). They did a terrible job of clearing the snow which made parking a nightmare and since Purple is up close, it will take you a while to get to that lot.

This tailgate no longer is held.

Arrive to the stadium early. Lots open 4 hrs prior to kickoff. You can tailgate. You can bring cameras inside stadium, but no backpacks or food/water. Prices inside stadium are high. $8.00 beers and $4-5.00 for water/sodas.

Be loud and have a great time. Once you enter the stadium and view the field the first time take a moment to take it all in. Great seeing it first hand!

Let us know how it went.

Thanks, guys! I'll let me BFF know the skinny on arriving early.

I'll happily re-count my adventure on my return.

I hope against hope that we'll win but win, lose or draw: HTTR!

I'm glad other people replied, Stacy, because I would have said to just avoid boarding the plane.

Just got home and am pretty tired... Will do a recap tomorrow
The shortcut version....
Good news: Skins fans are SO COOL! *I love you guys!* Especially the crew at the H20 tailgate! The Club Level at Fedex is awesome! TV vs Real life: I like D Hall and S Moss even more after seeing them. Already would have trouble liking L Fletcher any more than I do but would if I could.
Bad news: Pukes fans suck and there were more there than in Austin. Clearly, obviously, the score... And TV vs Real Life: Man, the offense actually IS worse in person. If you can believe that.

That first trip to FedEx is pretty special and to have it be a Dallas night game is great also - I'll look forward to hearing about it some more

we are only going to get better, so you can say you were there when ......
