If Vinny Cerrato stays or isn't demoted...

...I'm going to buy my Orakpo and Thomas Jerseys from a replica company.
The only jerseys I've ever owned were #36 and #21 and I haven't decided on another player since. With the humiliation this owner, coaching staff, roster, and fans have endured at the hands of the O-line this season there absolutely has to be someone to pay for it. If Vinny Cerrato is still in control next season, I will only buy from China and other cheaper replica companies. This goes for jerseys and any other cent I pay for anything Redskins.
I encourage the same from anyone else who feels Vinny Cerrato is the one who let us down.

I'm sure I'll get a hat or something small. I've just decided to cut back spending on my Redskins.

Honestly, in my first year since 2001 without the Sunday Ticket I am finding my way without the Redskins. I love the way this team is playing for Z and I don't want to see a complete blow up. If Vinny C is back I will just have less reason to try and find ways to watch the game. To me it would mean The Danny has not learned a damn thing. Sure, over the next 30 years there will be some playoff runs but never any sustained success. I hope The Danny has learned a little something.

I've decided against buying it as long as Snyder's in charge.

Cerrato is not the reason why I'd stop purchasing skins merchandise. Snyder on the other hand...

Don't buy other team's stuff, either. Every team gets an equal cut of the merchandise sales, regardless of which team it actually is.
Danny gets the same cut from a Favre jersey as he does from a Haynesworth.

I quit buying Redskins jerseys because so few players are here for more than a couple years. Anybody else sitting on a closet of prized Ramsey and L. Coles jerseys??

I stopped buying merchandise and I will stop going to games until that rat is out of here. Get someone in here to tell Danny hor to run an organization.
It worked here in Chicago with the Blackhawks. No one went to the games, or bought any merchandise and the culture changed when Wirtz died and his son took over. His son could have continued the same management style but the fans spoke out. He hired Scotty Bowman and two years later, The team is back to selling out every game, we have the best team in the west, a top 3 team in the league, all with the youngest players in the league. He drafted top talent and sprinkled in some free agents.
Use your dollars wisely people. Until they get rid of Vinny, why would you continue to support them monetarily

If Vinnie is still here and he and Snyder continue to run the team, I'll still be here supporting the players and coaches and the uniform - I'll also continue making disparaging comments about the way the team is managed and make fun of anyone that thinks that the team has any chance at being consistently competitive - anyone that supports Snyder and Cerrato (if he's still here) deserves to be ridiculed along with the guys responsible for what has happened here the past 10 years - if you want to make a fool of yourself, you deserve to be ridiculed (within the rules, of course - he he)
it could be fun, either way you look at it

That's exactly right. Otherwise, you are blaming the symptom, not the disease.

By your example, it changed when the owner died and the new owner changed things, not the boycott.

Question: You say I'm not going to buy anything because of the owner...etc..I wonder when you do buy something are you saying...I like the owner...etc..I going to make a purchase and put money in his pocket...or could it be you're just a fan and want a Redskins jersey???

I'll take a shot at this.
... with another question ...
Do you think that the owner cares about your carefully considered opinion or the money he puts in his pocket?
I am astonsihed to discover that some knowledgeable fans even doubt that the ONLY true leverage that fans have are:
1) RIDICULE and
2) ECONOMIC PRESSURE.
Snyder truly hates ridicule but the main force to COMPEL him to change is economic pressure.
Fans vote with their feet and their pockets. That is their true power.
But ridicule is fun too ...

Well do you think the average fan cares about where that money is going...and yes DS is counting on that....So I'm supose to give up my season tickets only to come running back (of course I won't be able to get tickets than) when they do well??? There's a word for that kind of fan RIC...

Interstingly, the average fan is questioning more and more every cent they spend on this team, yes.
So I'm supose to give up my season tickets only to come running back (of course I won't be able to get tickets than) when they do well??? There's a word for that kind of fan RIC...
Nobody will respect more the decisions made by other Fans (with capital F) than I do.
I respect your choices and your decisions. I will never question your loyalty.
By the same token, I am sure you respect mine to NOT buy merchandise and not accept the REPEATED offers for tickets sent to my e-mail address EVERY week.
Some fans will express their displeasure one way and others will do it differently. We will agree with some forms of expressing displeasure and we will disagree with others. BUT as long as we are conscious of the root of the problem, I am happy to call you all borothers and sisters and not useful idiots (as Lenin once called some).

Agreed...I don't judge anyone fandom by what they spend, where they watch the game..etc. I respect fans decisions to do as they see fit. I do get frustrated at those who say why discuss...etc...It’s so ridiculous to me to read that on a "discussion" board.
I do think you'll see a mass exodus of season ticket holders this year just as last...and just as last DS will have to make a decision as to buying the extra tickets because he doesn't want a blackout!!! He got caught this year selling to Stubhub...my guess is he'll buy them and have the ticket office sell them on Stubhub.

Just the opposite. Wirtz Jr. noticed that the fans were not coming anymore, the sales numbers were dropping and that people were simply boycotting the team. We're talking about an original six team. If you ever went to a game during that stretch where the franchise was dying, it was sad. Now it's back to being the a sell out, amped up crowd every night. He inherited the team and could of very easily continued status quo...but he didn't. He started sitting in the stands, asking fans their opinions, ended the TV blackout, brought back the TV announcers, brought in the best hockey mind in the game in Scotty Bowman who in turn drafted some awesome young players and added some key vet's. Had the fans not boycotted the team, I doubt any of that would have happened.
I hope Snyder is humble enough (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!...sorry) to realize that he needs to bring in a GM who knows how to run this team. He has to change the culture of the team. If fans want to continue packing the stadium, and buying merchandise, I doubt anything will happen, and why should it. The guy is making money and the fans are supporting the decisions. Those that don't see it that way are part of the problem.

I would like to say I would boycott. But, I know I will be supporting the team either way.
I have a small hope for Vinny being gone. But, the reality seems to be Vinny is here to stay as long as Danny is Owner. They will go down together or succeed together.
So best I could hope to see is a powerful coach coming in. Cowher would demand his say in personnel or his GM would have a say in personnel.
So I suggest to most of us fans to just hope to see a powerful coach come in with a good GM. Even a Coach who will be GM and Coach is better then Vinny.

I think Vinny should resign... and perhaps Danny could hire Bruce Allen.
Just wishing out loud...
