a little FYI, Chase Daniels has been cut by the saints. wonder if we resign him. sounds like it would make sense.

I would say one of our 5 DEs or DTs, or an RB. Lets be real here, we aren't the Colts/Saints, there are people to cut.

He could be resigned to the practice squad I think.

What a mind numbingly trivial matter. Can we re-sign a smallish, undrafted rookie quarterback we cut in the pre-season who just gut cut again by someone else. Wow, what an opportunity! That's up there with the great posers of life, like if we should trim our toenails each time we trim our fingernails or every other time since they grow slower. I think I'll go check if the milk in the fridge is going bad, you never know.

Yes. We ALL know that becuse he's been cut by another team that he's not worth another look. This team has SERIOUS QB issues. Bringing in someone that has a little background here wouldn't hurt ANYTHING. This team has a LOT of other needs too, so why not bring in a young kid and give him a chance at being part of the rebuilding process? I'm not saying he'd even make it here, but if you don't put him on the field and let him grow, you'll never know.

The more chances they have at finding a future QB, the better, imho

Don't we have a game against New Orleans soon? Maybe we sign him to help gameplan, heard of that move before.

So all you've got is we need a QB and can't think of a reason not to go back to Chase? The guy who couldn't beat out {vacancy} since we only kept two QBs on the roster? You want him because you can't think of a reason NOT to sign him?

OK, by that game, please itemize and explain why we shouldn't sign any other quarterback that is a remotely possible candidate since you want to sign them unless there's a reason not to and my pointing out he is small and no one thought he was worth drafting and we didn't think he was worth keeping doesn't rise to the level to you of being a reason to not really be interested in him...

They probably have other needs on their team they will address with the open roster spot.

Neither Wynn nor Montgomery has dressed for a game this year.

Why not bring in Chase? We have already seen what Jason can do. And he won't be here next here. Were not making the playoffs, so let's see what this guy can do.

I think they made that choice when they kept Colt instead of Chase. I wouldn't see it prudent to keep two guys with no experience when we don't have a solidified #1.

So let's look at that logically:

1) We didn't cut Wynn or Montgomery

2) We cut chase and essentially Colt for nobody.

Logical conclusion, they are all depth. We cannot just sign someone at any time equivalent to Wynn or Monty. We can sign someone off the waiver wire at any point in time at least as good as Chase.

Wow, when I say it like that I suddenly get why we need to sign the guy NOW!
