Century mark – Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau is looking for his 100th career NHL win on Tuesday against the New York Rangers. “Gabby” as he is nicknamed is 99-45-19 since being named the interim head coach on Nov. 22, 2007 this label was later taken away on Dec. 26, 2007. Boudreau was the first coach in NHL history to lead his team from 14th place at midseason to a playoff berth and became the second Capitals head coach to win the Jack Adams Award in 2007-08 season. Last season he guided the Capitals to the best record in franchise history and their first playoff series victory since 1998. Boudreau’s next win will make him the fifth Capitals head coach to win 100 games and the fastest to reach that milestone.
