WILDCAT PLEASE

Somebody please tell me why we don't use the wildcat. We have the portotype player that would be able to make an immediate impact. I am not a Randle El fan right now, BUT he would be awesome in this wildcat. He can be alusive at times, he can sure throw the ball (quarterback at Georgia) and he could run it or hand it off to a number of people, (Portis, cartwright, betts, devin thomas, santana). I think that the coaches should take a look at this. I just dont understand why we don't.

Randle El seems to have lost a step or 3 over the years. He's not as young as he once was, and it shows (check out his average yards per punt return over the last 5 seasons). Yeah, when he was younger, he probably would have been great in the wildcat. Now it's a bad idea.
(Oh, and he went to Indiana, not Georgia)

HE's still wiley enough to run the wildcat. I'm just afraid he's forgotten how to run for positive yardage.

l was thinking of hines ward when i said georgia..he could definitely still have more a positive impact than we are getting on offense now.

We saw how well it worked for the Eagles with Vick (it didn't, we stopped them for at least no gain, and often times for a loss).
We don't have an offensive line that would work for it.

We don't have the talent.

Was it just a QB draw where Vick got the 1st down?

less important than our position players talent; our o line is pitiful, couldnt run it for one game with a year of planning

I'd put Tana in the WC and run wide..have to get the ball in his hands..put him on PR as well.

I take back my vote for the wildcat if Randle El is to run it. I don't know why I voted for it in the first place, except that I thought Campbell might as well give it a try to get some confidence back, or whatever. It couldn't be much worse than what we do now, at any rate. ARE, however, would just dance in front to hole instead of use them.

Decent defenses have all solved the wildcat. In case you haven't noticed... most of the defenses we face for the rest of the season... would be categorized as "decent defenses".

Not really true. Miami has been able to run the wildcat on everyone, including decent defenses like the Jets (10th overall) and the Saints (11th).
But Miami also has a great o-line, and 2 very good running backs. We don't have those assets...

Because our team can't even run this offense much less a new one.

you need to have an effective running game along with great pull blocking. Our line stinks so it won't work.
