I know that there are a few that stick out but which play do you thin cost us the game

You missed the most important one: the over-pursuit on the reverse on the first possession. I would vote for that one.
But in general it was a few big plays that cost us that game. And we have no big play potential, so there was no danger of us earning a score or two back.

Dude, really: "What one play cost us the game?"
Are you serious? WTF game were you watching? Sorry, but posts like these are assinine.

It's a question. Instead of attacking the poster and the post, you could always just disregard the post and not make a comment. It's totally up to you.
If you don't think there were turning point's in the game, then you drank way too much.

Name the 1 (singular) play that cost us the game...
The play when Dan Snyder bought the Redskins.

We were down by 17 points with about 2 minutes left to play and one play cost us the game? Yea, I don't think so.

No, I think 5 plays cost us the game... Three of the ones mentioned by Frank (the Rabach snap was a bad choice... the game was gone by then), plus the reverse I mentioned and the Campbell fumble that led to a field goal.
Those 5 plays led to all 27 of the Philly points... there's no two ways about it. They aren't in field goal range on any of their possessions without those 5 plays. So, yeah... based on the final score, we would have needed 2 of them back to have won. Still, it's a thread worth posting. Thanks, Frank.

JC running out of the tunnel to start the game.

what is costing us is the inability to score more than 17 points in a game.
On the positive side, maybe we can resolve the Redskins name controversy
how about we become .... Washington Seventeen

Call me crazy, but the late hit picked up and the holding on the reverse is what I think screwed us more than anything. Dude had ahold of the numbers on Smoot's shoulder and Smoot couldn't even turn around. If that's not holding, I don't know what is.
And if you're 3 steps out of bounds and haven't released the guy you're tackling, that's also a late hit.

there was no 1 play "that cost us the game" - there really rarely is - the team had some chances tonight but we lost because we are not a good enough team - in the NFL most times better teams beat the lesssor teams just simply because they make less mistakes and they execute plays better as a team
we had our chances but there were too many lapses - no 1 play or player or coach is the reason we are losing games - we are simply not a good team

There were several as many have mentioned, but I think the muffed punt was a spirit crusher. We scored, the D forced a three-an-out and we muff the punt.

Randle-El hands down. You just scored a touchdown. You make the Eagles go three and out.
I was screaming at the t.v. for Moss to be back there. It was a perfect time to try it and see if Santana could break one. Plus it get's the crowd into even more of a frenzy and increases the change in momentum...

Frank, you are delusional if you think one play decided this game. We were beat inside and out last night. It is full on embarassing.
After the eagles scored on the field goal to get to 13, I knew it was over. The skins offense is unable to score more than 10 ppg due to our QB and OL play. Making a prediction now: we will not score over 20 points in a game all year as long as JC is our starting QB.

I don't think we will score more than 20 points this whole season regardless of who the QB is.

You missed it, it's not on this list. We'd lost when they scored the first TD and built an insurmountable seven point lead in the first quarter over our O.

Of course not one play cost us the game, but this thread is funny. I personally can't stand anytime I see Rock back there returning kicks. But I voted for Randle El, the momentum stopper!

The 3 turnovers are what killed us. take away points off of our stupid mistakes and we win 17-14.
But if I had to narrow it down to one it would be the ARE botched punt. I felt like we had some momentum going and we were about to get the ball back and then they get 3 points off of it instead.

That isn't the way it works. Do you really think that we would have scored that final TD with 1:30 left in the game had the score been 10-14? No chance. That was a gift from the eagles.
The eagles were the better team (by far) on the field last night. Regardless of the score, there wasn't a chance we were going to win last night. The current score predicts the plays. Had the score been 10-14, the defensive fronts would have been different; JC would have been doing his normal checking off of the receivers and dumping the ball to either Davis or a RB. The game would have been totally different. THis game was over at half and everyone knew it. Did you see the eagles players trotting in at half? They were joking and laughing like there was 1 minute left in the game and they were up by 30.

Total speculation mark. Momentum shift in a funny way. The game plan changed once you're 17 pts down, so almost everything woulda been different. Nice try, though.
