I would hope he could be the commander in chief of the running game in the NFL... but I hope CP doesn't inhale... or screw interns :)

LOL - you know - we are gonna get in trouble for a political theme :)

Seriously - I don't care if they call him Billy Joe Jim Bob...as long as he runs like a scalded dog and scores lots of touchdowns :)

well, we know CP won't be "alone" on the field, and I bet Gibbs better not be left waiting while Clinton enjoys a cigar :)

at least the grass stains will cover up the other stains this Clinton might get on his jersey. It would be a hung jury.

ROTFALMAO

yeah, but he would be the one with stains on his knees...

Truly, every time I see vids of this guy run, I am very impressed. I wasn't as enthralled as some of my mates on here until I had a chance to really go look at him in detail.... I knew he was good, but the knock has been it was cause of a good line in front of him. I hate to break it to those nay sayers - good lines don't make the moves for the RB. I watched several times where Portis squeaked through a hole that was nearly non existant, or change running routes when the "great" OLine couldn't hold a hole open for him and break a run through another hole that opened up at the last second.

I have been duly impressed now :)

Yeah, I hate politics anyways. And the "new Clinton in D.C." thing is a little cliche' anyways.

Ooooh! French lessons from the Jakester. Where do I sign up ?
Hey, SFIR ? Remember that movie "Better Off Dead" ? That's where I learned all my french words. "Fronch Toast" "Fronch Fries" etc. Here's the young guy with cliche'
I thought that was the word they used in swordfighting ? :P

Just like I knew Zorro wasn't Batman wasn't Boss who wasn't peeing on your "prized" landscaping while I was getting "Thwapped" which is Roanokian, meaning "To hit lightly about the nose with a rolled up newspaper."
I'm with you. :)

Don't worry TC. I took French for two years in middle school and forgot about almost every word I learned! #-o

That's okay, Jake. You're still the man. Anyway, I was just making small talk because the topic seemed kind of lame. What, am I supposed to call him "President" now ?
Sheesh. That's just, blah. Why don't I just call him what his mama named him ? Clinton Portis. That's fine, for now. It's not a name you can get all cute with, like C-Sam or J-Lo.
What ? Something that sounds like "SeaPort?" That's Baltimore, man. BOOOO!
Hopefully, at the end of the season, I can call him, "The Fastest Man Alive".
That'd suit me, just fine. ;)

Maybe we won't hear any nicknames for Redskins individuals from here on. Maybe nicknames for groups: I want to see if Joe Bugel decides that his line is worthy of being called "Hogs". Maybe he invents a new name for a new bunch.

Q: Mark Rypien, what do you call Charles Mann? He's so imposing and dignified. Is it "Charles" or do you call him "Charlie"?

A: After a win, he's "Charles". After a loss, he's "Mr Mann", and I keep my distance.

That's a Joe Gibbs team. Every individual player hates to lose.

I doubt that there will be much marketing of individual players under Gibbs. (yes, one year we all bought "Mark the Ripper" tee-shirts, and "National Defense" tee-shirts with Mr Mann's picture, but that was unique.

The Redskins will be "an Army of one", I predict. Loyalty to each other, first, last, and always. Teamwork. Then winning.

**

To me, Spurrier never fit. Like some imposter in Skins-logo clothing.
