Williams would have been a great HC in Washington, I'm still not sure what happened to let him go. He was clearly being groomed.

Let's ask Spurrier back, he's starting to turn the Gamecocks around.

Dan Snyder didn't like G. Williams. There was a riff b/w GW and Vinny & Danny. That's why he wasn't considered. When he interviewed for the job, they had a totally opposite philosophy on the direction of the team.

Not sure. I wasn't in the room but I would think that GW probably wanted to build through the draft and get cheap vets to come in and provide depth instead of getting big name guys who sell's a lot of jerseys.

EXACTLY!!!

Dont let these goons fool you....they are only in it for the money. If you really wanted a defensive-minded coach NOT named Dungy or Cowher...then Snyder could have basicaly "called-up" Gregg Williams. The players liked this guy to boot. Dumb call....what else is new?

Really...of all the arguments against DS this is one even I don't agree with...Does he want to make money of course but he also will spend...Heck if I was him I'd be pissed at the production I've gotten for the money I spent. We may find out soon enough..if we have a uncapped year owners will have no minimum cap they have to spend.

Yes the production from the money Snyder has spent is horrid, but thats why you dont put all your eggs in one basket. You can't just go out and BUY players because they had good stats the season before...that's what you do in a Madden franchise video game. Take a look at the team and see how many of our players are "team-grown" talent, meaning we drafted them and coached them to make them good and respectable players. Its disgusting to try and find. Everything we have to speak for is bought and our draftees are minimal. This is not how a good franchise is run.
