With all that has been going on and will (losing games, player's mindset)

Why hasnt there been a team meeting btwn the players? Where are the leaders with in the players brining the team together and hashing out the bs that is going on...i think that if they did this things will start to happen for the better

Maybe it has and it wasnt publeish?

We don't know that detail. Such things are not always announced to public.

Yeah and Snyder kept interrupting and saying "what does this have to do with the bottom line? Who cares what you players think and if we win or lose just show me the money! And by the way I have bingo, and every Sunday we are at home I yell bingo!"

Usually stuff like that is known to the public. I am disapointed that such a meeting has not taken place. I hope that guys like London Fletcher, Jason Campbell, Chris Samuels, Philip Daniels could step up and get these guys back on track.

Only GOOD teams have team meetings. This team KNOWS who they are. Oakland East (I'm actually looking forward to that game. should be a laugher).

I think there was a team meeting where the coaches were allowed to come but were not allowed to speak. I feel like this was mentioned on Monday on either the Sports Reporters or the Mike Wise show. Can't remember.

IMHO, that is the worst way to have a meeting. They should have a players ONLY meeting and have the 2 team captains report back the discussions to the coaches (with notes they took during the meeting). That way peoples opinions remain anonymous and they are also not in fear of losing playing time or that the coaches will come to resent a player that has provided negative feedback.

I think they have had those but have proven to be ineffective.

Who thinks the problem with the Redskins is that they need to get together and hold a meeting?

If that is the case, then there is an obvious lack of leadership issue with this team. If the captains cannot articulate concerns to the coaching staff, then there is no point. From a player perspective, one of the pruported team leaders needs to step up, put on the big boy pants, speak up, and become the player-coach rep --- ALL teams have this person(s). This obviously should be JC for the O and Fletcher for the D.

Who's to say they haven't already. The real problem is the owner accepting what they are saying. You have to understand that he has clearly never done anything over the years to improve the team besides bringing in people who's jerseys are going to sell. Who's going to buy an o lineman's jersey. Samuels jerseys are not flying off the rack.

I agree with RiC's contention that we should stop buying stuff but if Snyder did not sell one more item of Redskins jerseys, hats, etc. etc. he would still be making a ton of money from this team - thinking that Snyder will be financially affected by fans not buying stuff shows that some fans have no idea of the financial side of owning a franchise like the Redskins - this franchise is worth over a billion $ - $1,000,000,000.00 - sales of Redskins apparel is not even a drop in the bucket

we should not buy anything but it is just to show our displeasure - it aint doing a thing to the bottom line

What good is a team meeting going to do? Is it going to suddenly bring us a coach that isn't in over his head? Is it going to give us a competent GM? Will it add talent and depth to the oline or give us some speed on offense?

The bottom line is that the talent on this time is highly overrated and this team, namely on offense, needs to be rebuilt. No amount of team meetings is going to cover-up the deficiencies that this team has.

Maybe encourage the players that not only are they supposed to be PROFESSIONAL and that they are MEN and that no matter what they should be PLAYING the game they LOVE!!!

It could only help
