Has this once proud and storied franchise been made into an NFL laughingstock?

I wouldn't say that we are the laughing stock of the NFL. Based off several of our decisions, people are going to laugh. But if I had to pin that title on any one team, I would say it's the Raiders. They have an owner who is 100% out of his mind (and it's sad). He will not give up control of the team. He has a "yes" man at every job in the organization. He drafted a WR who was going to be a 2nd Rd pick in the top 10. He refuses to believe that it just may be a good thing to have Russel (QB) watch from the sidelines instead of throwing INT's or fumbles.

I know that when I watch NFL Live or listen to NFL Network and Sirius Radio - it's Oakland people are talking about. Not the Skins. Honestly, I don't really hear much about us with the exception of this week with the hiring and fighting in the locker room.

I didnt mean THE laughing stock of the NFL, just one of them. I agree, the Raiders do take the cake but there are others out there as well: Bungals, Browns , Lions to name a few.

The point of the poll is to get a read on how Skins fans see our team. Recently I've talked to friends who root for other Nfl teams ( Giants, Steelers, Ravens) and when they look at their teams schedules and see the skins, they automatically see a win( or two). I'll argue all day with them but they see the Skins as nothing more than the homecoming team.

I realize it's hard to see the forest for the trees wearing burgandy colored glasses but I'm trying to take a step back and see if Skins nation thinks there is truth in this perception. I know that it is down right hard if not impossible for some folks to take off the burgandy shades, myself included, but in all honesty, has our club become a joke?

Yes, this team is and has been a laughing stock for a while. They were respected under Gibbs2.0 but no more.

Only blind loyalists don't see it but even some of them are starting to waiver. LMAO. We lost to the Lions. LMAO How can you NOT be a laughingstock?

To say that we are the league's laughingstock is to give us too much importance. Eyes are on the top, mostly, and only the very bottom get much attention. We're too sensitive here. We're simply not noticed much-- as befits a 2-2 teams at the beginning of a season. We won't be a true laughing stock unless we end up four and twelve or so, which we might. Our OL is simply too weak to be in the NFL. Gambling on Randy was an incredibly stupied mistake. We should have been working on the OL through trades and drafts all off-season.

C'mon this team does compete... I know we have a ways to go but to call us a laughingstock is a bit much. I did hear Herd call Snyder Dumpster Fire!!

We are struggling. Our opponents are mocking us. But I do not feel that anybody is laughing ... yet.

We finished 8-8 in the toughest division in football last season. We are hardly the laughing stock of the NFL. We might have a lot more drama than most other teams which gives us a soap opera feel, but we are not a laughing stock.

We really didn't do much in Gibbs 2.0 to sing about.

As for a laughing stock, that's great for fans to label their team as much. I guess as long as an individual 'says' they're a fan, that makes them a fan.

Some people make me sick.

For some reason the media seems to hate us .. when we were trying to sign Cutler they were going on about what a stupid deal that would be, yet when Chicago signed him, suddenly a deal for Cutler was the greatest show on earth. Same with Sanchez... the press were going on about how dumb it would be for the skins to trade up for Sanchez, the jets do it and again .. best move ever.

The media are the laughing stock.

I answered no because we have not been "made" into a laughingstock; we willingly chose to fill that role by making lousy football decisions and putting a poor product on the field.

Come on Vet, you have to admit that losing to the Lions, and struggling against the Rams and Bucs were the lead up to the ultimate punch line .....

hijacking the Bingo caller from a retirement home to come in and look at the offense.

You just can't make this kinda stuff up. And you can't be taken seriously when you do this.

Yes .. we are officially the laughing stock ... and the Panthers are ready to pounce and trounce.

I hope we win, but I fear a royal butt kicking is on it's way today.
