Blache didn't take questions today from the media and Zorn has informed 980 radio that Greg needs a break. No mention was made as to why Greg will not talk but Zorn did say it's personal. Also, Sherm Lewis was hired from a Bingo Hall where he was working in metro Detroit.

Blache is about football. He's probably tired of all the second guessing from media people who couldn't even carry his clip board. Good for him. Blache is not our problem.

Blache has always been a jerk to the local reporters so I think we are all better off this way anyways.

Blache wants to focus on football. I have no problem with that.
His changes to the defensive lineup (inserting Tryon in the game in nickel packages replacing Smoot to name one) were very key in the Skins' eeking out a win versus the Bucs last week.
The players have to show heart each game.
U can't build a castle without a strong foundation.
Let the players do the talking on the field.
Go Burgundy & gold.

Greg Blache has been uncomfortable with the media for a while now. But it appears to me that pressure is getting to the coaching staff.
This choice is not a problem if the Skins put a good defensive effort against the Panthers. But if the performance is weak, the media is going to increase the pressure another notch and nobody knows what will happen a while after that.
Offense has to step in and help this defense. This week is another important milestone to try to resurrect us (or sink us further).

I think this is 100% strategic.
