Redskins offense Massively Improved!

In two games versus the Giants last year, the Redskins scored 7 points in each game. This year, they scored 17. That's a 243% improvement! Last year, they scored 17 against the Rams, so we should expect 41 points on Sunday!
But seriously, with all the gloom and doom after Sunday, they did score more than last season against the Giants...

I hate to pee in your cornflakes, but the special teams scored that first TD...

I would give JZ more credit for that.
At least the offense did put us in position again, and

ey had a TD.

Actually, I prefer Cheerios. I think I'll eat them standing up from now on...
I read a post, I think by HeroHamo saying he was going to be positive during the season. Just trying to put out some overly positive vibes.

I'm still very high on this team. For our guys to hang with one of the BEST teams in the NFL. Not just in our division but in the entire NFL. So I think if we can hang - and be one good drive away from beating a top team, then we can hang with anyone. I think we need to go in there and have an effective half of football. The 2nd half of the game can be the backup's for all I care about. Looking forward, if we stay healthy and develop some resemblance of a passing game, we are going to be very good with our defense. I think we will see this team grow throughout the year but I think the fan's need to just chill out a bit and let it happen. It's been forever since we've really won anything so why not wait a little longer.

I'm positiv on the skins, but I just like to be positive on positive notes i context. I wear my jerseys with pride every week and watch with anticipation that the skins are going to win!

Lately, I never expect much out of the Redskins. It makes the let down alot easier!

Instead, you can always hope for the best and keep realistic expectations but Skins fans NEVER lack in support for the team.

If you really think about it, special teams scored a TD (because our offense couldn't -- the drive was solid, except they couldn't score; which is a recurring issue), we scored a field goal after the defense got a TO inside the 10 yard line, and we scored a TD with 90 seconds left in the game against a prevent defense. So really we only had 3 legit offensive points -- assuming Suisham made the FG (had we not faked the FG and scored the TD).
Hate to be doom and gloom, but until the offense gives me something to cheer about, I have to keep it real.

Gee mark, thanks. You beat me to my point that the offense is still offensive and didn't really score squat. As usual, the Defense kept them in the game, but the Offense didn't do anything with it.

The only fans here that might be really disapointed are those that possibly thought the team was going to be a lot better than the group of players that played here last year
this was the first game of a 16 game season and the signs were not good but I am still optimistic that given the way the schedule looks for the next 8 games, the players and coaches can make the adjustments needed to get this team back on track

I'm one who is not expecting a lot from this team this year because I have my doubts about how much better the offense can be BUT I do think we are a lot better team than last year and certainly a lot better than what we saw last Sunday
I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of the younger guys here, on both sides of the ball, showing us the promise of what the future holds when we get a couple of key players that can help make this offense more effective
we are not as good a team as we would all like and it is going to take a while to get there while this team is managed by VC and DS

If I said anything that wasn't accurate, let me know. If being realistic is doom and gloom, then count me in. I tell it like I see it. I'm not going to make this team to be more than they are and I'm not going to say they are a bad NFL team, but I will emphasize what needs to be improved on, which is obvious, but ironically some people still try and make excuses.

Yeah, but to repeat the same negativity over and over again with no or little positive outlook is doom and gloom. At least to me.

We did not look good, that's true, but, apart from the fumble returned for a TD and the bad tackling on the WR screen the game was not as one-sided as some here thought - it was the first game of the season and to read some of the posts here there is no hope for this team
I repeat, it did not look good but it is only 1 game and we will see some better play this week

In the first 58 minutes the Redskins offense scored 3 points, which the defense gave the offense the ball at the Giants 11 yardline and all the offense could do is go three and out which led to that 3 points. That's improvement? Two turnovers, balls overthrown, and multiple timeouts burned that hurt us at the end of the game. That's improvement?

I'm tired of the line that the Redskins offense didn't score on the first drive for a TD. I'm calling bull on that claim. Hunter Smith didn't run that ball 98 yards downfield. . .
It's a useless thing to point out. It's like saying Campbell didn't throw for any touchdowns if you don't count that one to Chris

ey. Uh. . . .OK.

I argued this too, IB, but there is some merit to the part about the Campbell-led team not punching it in. This has been a recurring theme for him; move the ball up and down the field between the 20's, but not do jack in the red zone.

Sure, I agree. But the summaries are over the top.

Perhaps I'll start marking it for people.
{Sarcasm} Skins score as much as Patriots. Campbell is now clearly as good as Tom Brady {Sarcasm}
