Skins Preseason Online Streams

So I just confirmed that most of the Skins preseason games will be blacked out if you do not live in their tv market. Those of us will have to wait for a replay on NFL Network or hope that someone can stream the game for us.

I wanted to see if there were anyone on here who could/would stream the game tomorrow for the rest of us.

Please do folks, living in the great white north and attending university in the fall is really gonna make watching the games a challenge.

I saw that Comcast Sports Network has rights to air the games. Are you saying that they will black-out the games on Comcast? Where and how did you confirm this black-out? Just curious... I don't live in the DC area either and I'm hoping to watch the games on CSN. Thanks.

I called CSN this morning and spoke with a lady there. She said that she doesn't know why the NFL will not allow them to broadcast the games to markets outside their market area but for those of us with Directv or Dish Network and subscribe to CSN and other regional sports channels, it's not going to help us at all.

The tough thing about JTV is that we will not know until gametime if anyone is streaming. I was hoping to get a confirmation before hand. ...... Just very eager.

I'm in PA now so I'm only gonna see the filly game on CSN. I'm planning on hitting the 106.7 WJFK website to HOPEFULLY listen to the game. I'm guessing ESPN980 will probably broadcast either a O's/Nats game or the steelers game. LOL.. I actually vented about this in the smack section to release my inner curseology.. yup. curse-ah-low-gee

This drives me to question why doesn't the NFL themselves stream their games online? They would be able to reach a much bigger audience and give the people what they want which is to see their own team play no matter where in the world they live (except China). They should also have a service where you can go back and watch any game that has ever been played. I would like to watch old film of Slinging Sammy and Sonny Jurgensen.

Try this gents: http://wmoe.blogspot.com/

Watch the box on the right for game links. They're only good for 20 seconds or so, so click on the Skins link as soon as you see it. It will open Windows Media Player and voila - you're watching the game. Also, if your transmission is really choppy, as sometimes happens, simply close it out, go back to the site and request another link. Should fix the problem.

I get the DirectTV Superfan package and watch every stinking play of every stinking regular season in glorious HDTV. But I just can't care that I can't watch the pre-season outside the DC area. The worst was always the Steeler scrimmage preceding the pre-season. Yawn and double yawn.

The worst part is all the fans who'll see some kid tear up the field against guys who'll be watching the Season opener like me, on TV, and spend the rest of the year telling us how great they were and what idiots we were for not dumping our starters and playing them. I really wish those people could be barred from the pre-season games live, on TV or Internet streaming.

Sorry, I'm in pre-season fan mode. I gotta get in fan shape for the opener!

How would one stream this for others to utilize?

980 has the Redskins game. They don't bump the Redskins for nothin'! In fact, the overkill coverage starts at 3:30 p.m. .... and runs to 12:30 a.m.

Oh... come on, man. You're just sad that you had to fire three guys over a measly $2.25. Why don't you take the few dollars you saved, buy a 12-pack and enjoy a pre-season game.

I'm working on gathering a few websites for us.

www.myp2p.eu
www.ustream.com
www.channelsurfing.net
www.justin.tv
I can't guarantee that anyone will be streaming the game but it's worth a shot.

I used MyP2P sometimes last year (I had forgotten the name thanks frank). It was decent quality but varied from game to game.

I`ll check it tomorrow, thanks!

quality is going to 100% be controlled by the streamer's bandwidth capability. I stream often and stream at 700kbs. Most stream at 400 kbs and poor streams are in the low to mid 200's.

I'll take nothing over something though. Be sure to remember to donate to your streamer though. It'll help in future streamings for our beloved Redskins.

I have crappy DSL, so it wouldn't even be worth it to stream.

I saw on Hard Knocks that Chad Johnson uses a website called "LiveStream" so you may want to check that out as well.

The game will be replayed tomorrow afternoon on NFLN at 3:00 Eastern.

If someone does manage to find a stream on one of the half dozen or so websites mentioned in this thread, I'd appreciate it if they'd post it so we can all take advantage. Thanks.

While I admit I could "enjoy a pre-season game" with a 12-pack, it wouldn't technically be the game I was enjoying. I just find them dull since it doesn't matter and the players mostly don't want to get injured. I'm not knocking anyone who does.

BTW, when you multiply the 2.25 times three times a work week, add in employer payroll and unemployment taxes and multiply it out over the year, it's a lot more then a 12 pack.
