I'm definitely going to watch this league. The season will be very short but intriguing. With four teams, it will start in October and the championship game will be Thanksgiving week/weekend.

The draft was highlighted by players such as Adam Archuleta, Mike Doss and Brooks Bollinger.

I'll check it out. I wonder what rule changes they'll have in comparison to the NFL. And the question on anyone's mind, "Will they be better than the Gnats and actually have cheerleaders?"

East coast and West coast, hmm? Four teams playing an eight game season; at least they'll know their opponents.

Yeah, if these guys are going to be on T.V., I'll give 'em a look. Should be pretty cool. I hope they last.

I really like the way they are going about this league. They aren't being foolish (like the XFL) and going for the 20-team league, huge stadiums full of people, and all the prime time attention right away. You can make a media splash, but you can't form a lasting league that way.

Start small with what can be handled, and build up that solid core of a fan base. I think the market is there for it, and hope that they succeed.

I think their best chance for success would b e as an NFL farm league.

That might not be their line of thinking... I recently read that they may lookm to expand to Europe. That seems a little unrealistic at this point but regardless, football is football and I'm very interested in this league.

I find this as interesting as watching Kent St. play Akron...

For those of us with no life who make time for these games, we'll not support them financially by going so they're doomed. Like all other professional "leagues" before them -- they're one and done! Don't get too interested.

Whether it's one and done or not I'm still going to be interested and watching it when I can. Football is football. I loved the XFL when it was around and watched every week of it.

Like I said, football is football.
