Farve has really turned from a class act to a joke.

I'm waiting for the Snyder is courting Favre rumors to begin.

I'm so tired of hearing about this attention whore...I wish he'd shut up and retire already.

I have lost all respect for this guy. He kept screwing the Packers over by flip flopping, then he gets traded and "retires" after a year. Now this...

He's wanted to play in Minnesota all along.

I told my wife when I heard that the Jets officially cut him "you watch, he'll wind up in Minnesota now that the Packers can't do anything about it."

Could you even imagine how much you would hate a guy who tried so hard to go to your hated division rival?

Imagine if Theismann didn't have a career ending injury and pulled this kind of crap so he could go to the Cowgirls. How much would we hate him? How much would we be praying for a Dexter Manly hit to put him into a coma or at least firmly into retirement?

What a jerk.

I was reading about that. That he never wanted to go to the Jets but it was the only way to get out of Green Bay. I don't get why he wants to screw the Packers over so bad. They did what they had to as a team to move on.

I really don't care why he's doing it. It's childish and it's beyond tiresome.

It would be more like Joey T. playing for the Eagles (neither has won a SB), because I think the Bears are the Packers' Cowboys. But your point is well taken; he's seriously burning bridges.

I just don't get it, what did he have left to prove?

He was a GOD in Green Bay. They would've named their stadium after him. Erected giant concrete monuments to him. Parents would have told children and grandchildren for decades about how "I saw the great Brett Favre play" and kids would be jealous that they never got a chance to see the hero of Green Bay.

He's already bound as a first ballot Hall of Famer, and even fans of other teams knew and respected him.

Now he's a joke. His legacy will be as a traitor. Green Bay will burn him in effigy.

You look at the turnout Art Monk and Darrel Green got when they got into the Hall. Bretts would have been 10 times that. Now he'll be lucky if he isn't booed on his way in.

He pooped out in the 2nd 1/2 of the year...I don't think he can run a whole year plus post season.

He got injured, tore his bicep. That's different than running out of gas. Plus Minny may not have to use his arm as much cus of AP.

They'll be a force...

This is great news for Bears fans. Lovie's Bears practically own Favre whereas the Yikes of Tarvaris Jackson owns the Bears. All my Pack-loving chums are crying into their Brats and surprisingly many of my Yikes chums are pretty upset too. Let's face it, Favre only really wants to win two games....

I give this move a thumbs up. :D

Will he be able to have the longevity to last a whole season at his age after rehabbing? I hope if he comes back, he fails miserably.

Im def tired of hearing about him. I don't care if he fails or not. But I think that team will win it all if he can hold up. It makes for good football.

Cant find the link yet but got text update that Farve told the Vikings he will stay retired. Until next week when he changes his mind...

I think you underestimate the loyalty of Green Bay fans. Not only will Favre's ridiculous antics fade into the background of Packer history (I think it will be the equivalent of Unitas' stint with the Chargers), I'd be willing to bet they don't even boo him this fall.

Not likely. If Favre plays for the Vikes, it's more akin to, say, Sonny finishing out with Dallas... than Johnny U playing a few games with the Chargers... who were no one's rival, but especially not the Colts.

Johnny U playing for the Chargers was just sad. Favre playing for the Vikes would be a real slap at Green Bay.

I hope he stays retired but I agree with Chris - even an "old" Favre gives the Vikings a better QB than Rosenfells or Jackson

when i thought of favre i thought of one of the greatest.......

now when i think if him i only think about is his yearly retirement BS....

he goes to Minn it will DESTROY his love in GB, as of now he has a angreement that the packers will pay him 20mil, to be an "ambassador" for the team the day he REALLY retires, he goes to minn, im sure that is off the table and it better be off the table!

go away brett go away

Wait a minute. Favre Screwing over the Packers. The Packers are the ones that asked him what his decision was right after the season. And at that time he said if you need a decision now then right now it would be I would retire. They forced him into retirement. And then secondly they falsely accused him of making phone calls from a team cell phone to another team which indeed was proven that Brett Favre never had a team cell phone. The Packers screwed him over and it was a joke. And by the way how many times does a man need to say that he is done. The Vikings are the ones that have come out and said that they would love to have him.

That was after two or three years of him saying he might or he might not. Maybe they got tired of every offseason of the same tired questions. Farve could say he is done 100 times and no one would beleive him because he lost a lot of creditability by constantly flip flopping.
