Meh, what's he got to lose? Play a few years there and then maybe break back into the NFL.

$200-$250 a week? He could make more bagging groceries. Why would anyone take that deal? The Raiders will offer him vet minimum, I bet.

Personally, I think Vick paid his debt (and then some with all he's lost.)
He deserves another shot to play football IMO and he shouldn't have to settle for the AFL's minor league. A pro team will give him a long look when the Falcons release him. He'll probably see the field in the "wildcat" for someone.

I agree completely. I hate to say it but he has more than served his debt to society, and this entire incident has been blown completely out of proportion. Seems to me that he would a great fit for the Dolphins, although they just drafted Pat White.

Don't forget Pennington did exceptionally well for them last year too.

The latest information now has the owner of that team as being very upset that Vick was being "used" as a publicity stunt. Seems the owner was very leery of the backlash at having Vick on his team - he claims he was not consulted by the team officials and did not want to be a part of anything to do with Vick.
Going to be interesting to see how Goodell handles the decision on what sort of involvement Vick will be allowed and when and how many teams will be willing to handle the hoopla surrounding this guy
Athletes are sometimes really stupid when they make decisions that affect their status with the NFL - I understand that he's "paid the price" but I'm not sure I'd want him on my team after what he did

There's going to be hell to pay from the fans, especially at away games. I wouldn't want to be Vick.

I gotta agree here as well
He wouldn't have served that much time if he'd killed someone.
Right Baltimore?
The whole thing bothered me. It was WAY over sensationalized. The media couldn't get enough of the term "rape stand" and use it in every report about it.
Hate to imagine what they'd have come up with had he been caught cock-fighting

$10/Hour construction job, man that must suck (considering how much he used to make). I REALLY hope these youngs guys coming into the NFL realize how important it is to keep themselves out of trouble.

The Browns should sign Vick. I'm sure the Dawg Pound would love him.

Yea and he was convicted, sentenced and lost everything. Get over it. IMO the people that still want more revenge have just as sickly a mind state as he did.

thought this thread needed a reminder about who were dealing with here. the trend seems to be, hes rehabilitated lets sign him, damn hes a great athelete. rubbish. he tortured animals. if we sign him ever (and im a VT guy, by brother was there during vicks tenure, i watched him do a flip into the endzone) i will turn in my skins card. the guy is a menace, so is his brother. i dont know what they went through as kids but they are mentally broken. they dont know right from wrong.
no one on this site should want him on our team, a team whos reputation is one of stand up god fearing men.
now as far as you believing that I would actually do that to someone, you failed to understand my post. id never do those things to someone. my repetition of the ferociousness of his attacks should shock the reader (you) to remember what vick is. i guess it worked well enough, you think I have a sick mind.

And I think every time a pit bull kills someone, they should be given a fair trial where they can be judged by a jury of their peers.

My point is that dogs aren't people.
They don't have rights, because with rights come resposibilities that dogs are incapable of obliging, such as jury duty.
Comparing dogs to people is ridiculous, and 'eye for an eye' is to simplistic a scenario unless we are going to hold animals to the same ethical and moral standards we set for people.
I don't like what Vick did, and I'm not apologizing for what Vick did. His acts were criminal, and he served his time, but to expect him to suffer the same sentance as a capital murderer is absurd.

I certainly hope he is not a part of our team or organization. I cannot believe there are going to be many of the NFL athletes that want to be a part of the fiasco that will surround him either.
He has paid the price and it is now time for him to find something else to with his life and get on with it.
Michael Vick had an opportunity to play in the NFL and he not only let himself down, but, when others approached to help him, he lied to them and denied everything.
NO! Michael Vick should not be punished anymore but he also should not be allowed back in the NFL because he already blew that opportunity, big time.

I really hope that the NFL reinstates him. I'm with those that think the entire mess was way overblown, especially when you compare Vick's case to NFL players who have harmed and/or killed people.
(And, personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him on our team. Just sayin'.)
