Anyone think we should give him a serious look?

Considering our desperate need for a linebacker I'd say we take a look at anyone who becomes available. What ever happened to Marcus Washington, last I knew he was still a free agent and we were trying to work a deal with him.

This could be a great pick up for us, but I am not sure we can afford him.

Leroy Hill is a FA

The Seahawks removed the franchise tag designation from Hill, which makes him a free agent. This guy looks pretty solid and has 5 years experience. Hope the Skins go after him as we didn't get to address this spot in the draft. Dunno how much cap room we have to work with though.

Skins Not Expressing Interest in Leroy Hill

Several readers emailed to ask whether the Redskins would be interested in Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill, since Seattle removed the franchise tag and made him an unrestricted free agent recently. Several teams have contacted him in the last day or two, looking to bring him in.

The Redskins have some need at linebacker, and Hill obviously knows a lot of these coaches from their Seahawk ties, but the selection of Brian Orakpo yesterday could address some LB issues, and I would not be surprised if the Skins took a linebacker later in this draft as well. (They like Robert Francois from BC.)

If anything changes on the Hill front, I'll let you guys know.
