He got a contract 2 years ago. And after 2 years he is unhappy? He has made one Pro Bowl in his career and that deserves another contract? He is almost what 34 years old and wants a new deal?

He is a MAIN reason for Clinton's success... You can't value him just by his stats and probowls. And you can't use the probowl as an ACCURATE measuring stick in one thread and then denounce it as BS in another...
IMO pay him.

I'm not surprised. You pay people alot of money from outside the organization to be here and then you have guys like Sellers that work their tails off each year. It was bound to happen.

The question is: How much does Sellers expect to get paid? Fullbacks are among the lowest paid positions in the league.

Nobody on our offense deserves more money, nor should anybody be asking for more money or should be unhappy with their contract, or demanding a trade. Our offense is the one thing that has held us back from making the playoffs. Our defense has gone out every year and has gotten the job done, but our offense who is averaging what 10-13 points scored per game. Are you kidding me? I tell you what he just have talked himself out of a job.

The PASSING OFFENSE is inept...let's be accurate here. Nobody is saying to make him the highest paid FB in the league. The running game is not keeping us from the playoffs and has been the main reason in the past as to HOW we got to the playoffs offensively.

Sellers is good but I do not think he should get a new contract. There are actually good free agent fullbacks out there right now.

I don't care if its passing or running the fact is that our offense SUCKS. And if anyone should be asking for a raise it should be players on our defense. I would not give Sellers more money because he has not earned it nor has anybody on our offense deserves it.

Sellers just got a new contract a couple of years ago and if not for the grace of Joe Gibbs and the Redskins he'd be working at Costco now.
Sellers was arrested for felony coke possession after the Browns signed him to an offer sheet and got him from off our roster. They booted him off the team after the drug charges and he was out of football for two years until coach Joe came back and brought him back on board.
Now Sellers thinks he gets an extension over one pro bowl. I call Bull. Sellers can sit out if he wants I'm sure we can find a fullback who is just as good, Sellers is nothing special and now it turns out he's selfish.

Whats the point though? Sellers is already here and knows the system. I know he is getting old but until he can't do it anymore he should be the #1 fullback. Contracts are a two way street. If the FO can ask someone to rework their contract then the players should be able to also. I wish this wasn't an issue and Sellers was happy. Its just a circus this off season and so now we have to deal with yet another problem.

Ha ha ha this is so true... Lets just get rid of everyone every year. Think of how many new jerseys could be sold.

I was going to say the exact same thing about Sellers and bring up the point about his arrest....how quickly a player turns on his team. The guy couldn't wait to get out of DC the first time and only after he screwed things up so badly in Cleveland did he come back to DC. Core Redskin, yeah right.

In fairness he didn't "bolt from the Redskins" he was a restricted FA and was signed to a big offer sheet that we didn't match.
I think it's ridiculous he's missing workouts over a contract dispute but he's not turning on the team.
Also CLL, grace is a word, it has no special "holy" meaning. It was described to me as grace is getting more than you deserve and mercy is getting less.
I.e. parents give a kid 5 dollars extra in his allowance for no reason that's graceful.
they give him a lesser punishment for breaking their rules that's merciful.

I agree. Sign him to a new 2 year contract. He at least has 2 good years left in him.

Fact is, the Redskins are better with him than without him. I'd say give him at least a modest raise.

I'm sure he's looking for a little signing bonus and a little more every year. I love Sellers. You have to think that he's not just a fullback. He's also a major contributor on Special Teams. He may be one of the top guys that make tackles along with Rock. So, give the guy a few more bucks and keep him happy. If you were to see his salary vs scrubs on the team who do nothing, you'd think differently. And everyone deserves a 2nd chance, which he got and has made good bye it. He gives 100% on every play and if we had 11 guys like that on the offensive side of the ball, we would score more.

WHile I like Sellers, and he's fun to watch, he is not nearly as good as he thinks. Yes, he is versatile, and an incredible blocker hitter, but remember clearly last year, his efforts costing us games. Didn't he fumble the ball on the goal line, leading to a touchdown for the opposing team?

It is probably in part BECAUSE of his age that he wants a new contract. He figures he doesn't have that many years left.

So Sellers is to blame for the play of our QB & WR's??????

Why would we want a good FA fullback when we have a pro bowl fullback on our roster?

So it wasn't the WRs dropping balls and JC on his ass b/c the line couldn't block for him. It wasn't because we didn't stretch the field and open runnign lanes for our RB. We lost games because the FULLBACK fumbled the ball.
YA HEAR THAT? DRAFT A FULLBACK AND WE'RE SUPER BOWL BOUND!!!!
