Looks like Jason has HAD ENOUGH of this circus........

Jason Campbell will request to be traded should the Redskins acquire a quarterback in this weekend’s draft.

The Redskins, who have the 13th overall pick in this weekend’s draft, reportedly have shown substantial interest in USC QB Mark Sanchez. However, Sanchez could be selected in the top five — long before the Redskins are scheduled to pick.

Well, no surprise there. If the Skins draft Sanchez, they'd almost have to trade JC to recover some of the draft picks spent on Sanchez.... IF they make that move. I'm not completely sold that they will.

Jason campbell has conducted himself with absolute dignity during the Cutler BS. It is to bad that these rumors have to keep popping up to create trouble within the team. I am not a great fan of Campbells but enough is enough. He deserves a clear shot at proving or disproving himself this year.

Frankly, it makes no sense that if the Redskins were truly interested in Sanchez that they would discuss it with anyone outside the organization. It would serve no purpose other than to raise the cost for us.

I'm increasingly convinced that this is bluff or bluster.

There is only one group who comes out of this looking like pieces of crap and thats the "Danny/Vinny Camp." Jason Campbell has only made himself look like a respectable person and an even better person. Someone that a guy like Joe Gibbs would say is a "Core Redskin." I don't know what more ownership would want out of a guy but Campbell gives us someone who can manage the game. He only has upside and its just plain stupid to me that they keep throwing this guy under the bus. I don't care if its blown smoke. You take care of your people, if they are your people.

If this is just smoke, this front office needs to find a better way of handling things than what they are doing. There is no point in pissing everyone off, even your starting QB and fanbase b/c the majority of fans -THOSE THAT MAKE YOU MONEY DANNY - do not want Sanchez. I would think that if we wait for 40 years for tickets, we know enough about football to know that the QB position is not an area where we need to upgrade. FIRE THE OWNER AND PRES. I wish that the fanbase had more to do with their teams.

This whole thing with Sanchez and the Redskins has really gotten on my nerves. This has to be a physiological game to put a chip on JC's shoulder and make him step up his game. If the Redskins are really talking about drafting Sanchez, it will prove Snyder's impatience once again.

I am really hoping you are right.

Someone get JC a tissue. Is this going to be another excuse for him? Am I going to have to hear about this darned emotions all year and how his emotions caused him to pump fake a zillion times and miss a chance for a huge completion?

One thing I don't understand is that if this is in fact a so-called "smokescreen" then clearly they haven't informed our current QB of it. If he has to finally come out and say that If we draft Sanchez he wants out, then he has not been made aware of the the FO's strategy here. It's amazing that after this long anyone is still giving Snyder the benefit of the doubt on this one. He DOES want Sanchez, and he gets what he wants no matter what the collateral damage. And what, by the way, is the point of such a "smokescreen." Even if he thought a team like the Jets was willing to trade into the 13th pick for fear of the Skins taking their future QB, we all know he will be long gone by then. So do the Jets, who wouldn't just sit by and hope that he is still on the board. If they or the Bucs want him, they will trade in to the top-5 and get it done. I'm tired of this junk. Draft a position of need you morons (an and Vinny)!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps his trade threat is a part of the smokescreen?

smokescreen seems like BS to me. Why would you put a player through this? Even if he is onboard with this whole "Smokescreen" thing, I don't see a point in trying to bluff as an organization to the point where you are talked about negatively by the media and fanbase.

Or perhaps the Redskins F/O isn't responsbile for the rumours. Maybe they're just doing their due diligence in learning about any potential players that may drop on their lap.

Even now JC isn't showing any gonads. I'd almost rather him act like Cutler, . We're always complaining about him being so passive anyway, . Jeez Jason flip someone off or something.

Campbell requests a trade, and we just say "we tried Jason no one wants you" end of controversy. The fact that we pursued Cutler speaks volumes, Snyder knows he's about to have to committ serious dollars to a QB its just a matter of who'll give the most back, Sanchez might be that guy.

Well I would grant him his wish.

Now that is is highly unlikely that JC is here next year no matter if he plays this year and has a probowl season, what do we do with the QB position? I don't think Brennan is serviceable, and Todd definitely isn't.

So, now we are supposed to draft Sanchez and trade Campbell? Looks like we have just wasted our first two years of dominating defense if we draft and start Sanchez.

I guess Gibbs didn't help Snyder like I thought he did. I'm so sick of not having a draft, or stability for that matter...

Effectively, Snyder and Vinny have ruined JC´s upcomming season. We know he can hardly handle any pressure, and now, for months, you constantly work to alienate him trying to change him.

This is absurd. They will make him crack.

Any person with two fingers of forehead can see that we need a lot of help on the Oline. So why do Vinny and Danny insist on changing the QB? With our current Oline, practically no QB can be succesful. In a word it´s porous. Somewhat like their judgement.

QB is a high pressure poition. If he can't handle it (& it seems like he can't) he can't play QB in the NFL.

this could all be solved with one simple thing. Lions forget Stafford, and please draft Sanchez already~ :p

If this works out they could have Sanchez and a lineman with the 17th pick. If not there is always a option two on draft day:

Bucs pro personnel coordinator Doug Williams is a big fan of Campbell, who has just one year left on his contract,

With no picks in the second, fourth and seventh rounds they'll have to give up 2010 picks to get into the top 5.

This has "the Danny" all over it. Everybody is talking about Sanchez so of course he has to be involved. I don't know if I don't like this idea or not.

Sanchez only started 16 games at USC, but he has a quick release, gets through his progressions pretty fast, and all the other traits that we keep looking/hoping to see in Campbell but have yet to see. He is also coming from a very good program (for years). Jason is in the last year of his rookie contract and regardless of his play this year (if he's a Redskin) he won't want too come back next year even for a big payday.

Why not sign another rookie (it's cheaper in the long run). If the Jets move up and get Sanchez, the Skins may still trade Campbell on Saturday

One thing's for certain, it has certainly rekindled interest in the draft ...

The Jets fans aren't sold on JC being in green at all. If I were a Jets fan, I don't think I'd want to acquire JC either, though. He's a guy who's shown potential, but not hit the next level yet. They already have one of those guys from what I understand.

As for the Sanchez subject, I think if he falls to us, take 'em. I don't want to trade up and blow the whole draft on this guy.

I can't wait for Saturday nite so all this draft speculation is over.

I guess the Redskins management (we do not have a FO!) "supporters" will be able to come up with an explanation for this potential move but it sure seems like a mistake to me.

We have Campbell, and some here think he can be a lot better than I feel he's shown to date.
This is not a draft that is that great with QBs - Sanchez and Stafford are good prospects but not great, cannot miss QBs.


My feeling is that these guys really hurt themselves with the Cutler deal because then they put themselves in a no-win situation with Campbell. IF Campbell becomes the all time great that many here predict - he will either say "see ya" because of what it looks like these bozos tried OR he will be a lot more expensive than he might have, had he been treated better. Kind of a home town discount because we supported him

Now, IF Campbell is good but not great (as I suspect) then we would have him here as our back-up while we both rebuild the offensive line and add the other weapons we need AND get the future HOF QB ready to play.
This team needs 2 more drafts and if possible should try and add draft picks this year and next IMHO

These guys have made the future with Campbell under any circumstances very difficult IMHO

I am not sure what we are going to do tomorrow as far as the draft is concerned and it looks like these guys want Sanchez but they sure have made it seem like they are ready to go on without Campbell.

I just hope that we use all 5 picks we have and if possible get some more - we need to look further ahead than just this coming year - our defense is looking solid, let's start to re-build this offense


btw - as much as I would like to get a future HOF offensive lineman, are any of you concerned about what we are going to do if all 5 of the offensive guys that are any good are gone? Are we going to address a defense that really does not need much to be effective and not start working on getting an offense that can both score some points AND be able to play a 16 game season.
Maybe that's another reason we are considering Sanchez?

All the time people confuse what THEY think about JC with what the league thinks.

Bottom line is most people in football and the media (with far more access and insight than the average message board poster) think Jason Campbell is a very talented quarterback and will do well in the league.

YOU think Jason Campbell is a bust, and overrated, and that opinion is irrelevant.

If we decided to trade Jason Campbell then we would find a trading partner and we would get full value. The Jets, Bucs, Vikings, and a half dozen other teams would be interested.
