I used to hate Michael Jordan. Not in the sense that I literally hated him, but in the sense that I hate Duke, and the Yankees and the Lakers. Not real hate, but the hate sports fans reserve for the teams that always win, always get the calls, etc.
Now that we have Ovechkin, I can totally get what it was like to be a Michael Jordan fan, and the hate is pretty much gone. Not for Duke and the Yankees, but just for individual players. Its not Jordan's fault he was the best player on the court every time he stepped on the court (as a Bull, anyway).
